    I am not a christian, nor do I consider myself a religious person. I am not preaching, just fed up with all the bullshit.

    Many, in fact, most arguements on this topic ultimately result in the conclusion that either:

    A: "You cannot prove God exists, so a God must not exist."

    Or

    B: "The Bible (or other holy scriptures) contradicts itself, is scientifically disproved, etc, so there is no God".

    Well, those are bullshit arguements.

    Response to A;
    You cannot disprove anything that cannot be proven in the first place.

    Response to B;
    By depending on the bible to make your case, you imply that God is directly related to the bible, which s/he is not. There are plenty of people that believe in a God, but not organized religion (including myself.)

    I made a thread about it.
    i didn't really attack the bible (there is no need to, because as you said, few people actually believe the bible), and instead focused on the internal logical inconsistencies most people have regarding a god (or higher power, or nature force, or polyfather, or whatever you want to call it).
    the only real problem is, as you say, the abundance of different ideas regarding god (or higher power etc.)
    it takes a while to shoot them all down, because it seems that there is a different god for every human being.
    I'm pretty confident i can.
