Im intrested in it... One day me n my friend were goofing around with it and now we're obsessed, Id love to learn more about it! I usually do it to a topic rather than music; like someone suggests a topic and then we or I tries to express it through dance, Im not sure if thats what your meant to do...

Awesome! Well you can do it however you want. That's the idea. I usually take a song and dance out the lyrics and express the meaning of the song. its so fun!

Anyone and everyone! Click on the reprint me icons on the page (preferable the Male, small, not that I'm male, but they fit the best) I'm trying to get these reprinted. When I first saw the design I fell in love immediately only to see it is no longer printed.

It´s not my parquet, but it looks funny :) It is also interpretive dance, when a number of dancers are doing together something like shadow theatre ? To music of course...

I doo that all the time
Last night I was dancing expressively to Ian Brown singing "Illegal Attacks"
It was great I was pretending to karate chop my moms table in half and loads of stuff like
pretending to be a soldier in Iraq and then a big politician.
Tomorrow I will do moon River and pretend to be in 'Breakfast at Tiffanies'

Or shall I do 'Ello John got a new motor" by Alexi Sayle

Oh man, I love interpretive dancing. I used to do it all the time with a friend from high school, and now I do it with friends from college, and of course, by myself in my room all the freakin' time. ^_^

i guess i have been doing this for a long time...I didnt know it was called interperative dance!!! I used to dance formally, but I felt it was too restrictive. Do you guys meet anywhere to do this? or is it just something you do at home or at a friends house?

How neat would it be if we could all get together and do something collectively?

I just do it at home and blast the music, move the furniture and go nuts :)

I love interpretive dance! Even if there's just a song blaring in my room, I'll dance just for myself! Though, its a lot of fun with more people. :)
