Which Digital SLR cameras have you tried, which was your favorite and why? I havn't gotten to work with any other than the ones that we have at work, and they seem really nice. I will have to check and see which ones we use.
I have a Canon Poweshot S5 IS, I just got it and its my first digital SLR and Im just learning how to use it. I got it for my photography class, so once I learn Ill let you know what's up  I do know it has 8 megapixels and a zoom of 12x, but Im really in no position to review it.
The canon powershot S5 IS is actually considered a point and shoot digital, not an SLR. Canon makes the EOS and REBEL's as their digital cameras. Though that does look like a very nice powershot... much better than the one i currently have.
Ohh see Im so clueless I didnt even know that. I feel dumb now. I didnt know it was consider a point and shot since I can play with the aperture and shutter speed and all that stuff, is all so new to me.
its not quite a SLR though. just a very friendly Point and shoot. no need to feel dumb for not knowing though...
Well I could use some pointers in this department...all I have is a basic little point and shoot Kodak....I still shoot alot with my 35mm's...I like the memory card over film use though....but most of the digital's feel so tiny compared to my dinosaurs....so getting a feel for the compactness has been an issue with me...I would really appreciate and info or pointers any of you can give me...cuz I want to get a nice digital....and I would like the ability to over ride the automatic aspect for timed shutter shots...and oh yeah...did I mention....I'm a computer moron lol ....as long as the operation of the camera is in "cameraese" and not "geekese" I'll have no problem
here greg, this is a good site to help figure out what digital (slr) is right for you... http://www.digital-slr-guide.com/ most ditital SLRs have the weight of the older SLRs, which personally i love
I have a Nikon D40. I'm just learning to use it. I also have a Canon AE-1 35mm camera (anyone interested in buying it? hehehe). I look forward to learning more about digital stuff.
The D40 is a lovely little camera to use. I really like it. I think I'm getting one. At the moment I have a 35mm Canon EOS Rebel that came with a 300mm lens with the standard 28-90mm lens. It's great but I really need to shoot digital. That's why I always use my dad's Olympus camera. Don't know the make. It's one of thos All-In-One cameras where you can't change the lens.
