One time when i was smoking with my freind i watched him dial some phone numbers on his phone and i didnt think anything about it. then 15 mins later his lil brother comes running up saying the cops are coming and i immediatly go running to the back of his house and ditch my bud. he tells me to comeinside the house and im like HELL NO!@ if they come inside im ditching. he keeps trying to tell me to come inside im like no. all of a sudden my dad comes up and picks me up and we go home. I'm thinking to myself that my freind is a undercover cop even thoough he is 16.dam..im so paranoid, i just recently found out that my dad that died when i was 5 years old was extrwemly paranoid to. could this trait have been passed down to me.

It is possible to inherit psychological issues from your parents, but I think you were just stoned. Weed makes some people extra paranoid…

its possible to inherit schizoprenia or bi polar or something like that but you can inherit your fathers paranoia. you can be paranoid about the same things but its not a genetical problem

ya its just the weed im just saying that it makes me really paranoid..like to a point where i can think of a perfectly planned conspiracy someone would do to steal something of mine or get me locked up...one time i thought my parents called the cops on me..

Actually paranoia is a complex thing there is usually not one simple cause. Although genes we inherit from our parents can make some more predisposed to paranoia but it is not the only thing that causes it.

    oooh la di da

i wasnt saying thats the ONLY thing that causes it, i said its possible to inherit schizo like traits or symptoms or even become schizophrenic/bi-polar/obsessive compulsive from parents or any close relatives. im diagnosed paranoid schizoprenic along with 2 other males and 1 female in my close family.

You inherit the genes from your parents that make you more susceptible to having a full blow disorder. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you will have the paranoid disorder that your parents had it depends on other things as well. Although if you don’t develop a disorder then you could still have the genes and pass the genes on to your children which still does not necessarily mean that they will have problems it just means those with the genes are more predisposed to having those type of paranoid behaviors.

I think it's good to go with your "GUT feelings". Sometimes it really is intuition. Maybe your intuition will keep you out of trouble.
There is no reason to ignore these feelings, UNLESS the voices in your head tell you to do something illegal. Never lie, cheat or steal.
Never, never act on any impulse to hurt another human.

And remember you can always stand on the 5th Amendment.

Your friends were probably just trying to freak you out. First time I smoked, my friends said they saw my mom pass by the park, so we went into this little play structure thing and I heard a car park near us. I had no doubt it was her, so I hid in a slide for 20 minutes listening to her walk around the park looking for me. Turns out it was an old hippie with a metal detector.

Be cautious by all means, just not jumping out of the window when your door opens cautious.
