How long for mycellium to show?

I inoculated six days ago and still nothing has grown inside, no contaminations, no mycellium. They are kept between 72 and 85 degrees, I put 1-2ccs in each jar, none of them are doing anything, they don't look dried out or anything, I made them exactly how the PF tek said to make them. Any info? Maybe I'm just panicking because this is my first time growing, some reassurance would be helpful!

I inoculated on the 21st and I have nothing.

 

I let the jars sit for 3 days before i inoculated them, so there's no way they were to hot then. I think i might try another batch while I let these ones sit longer.

 

where'd you get your spore syringe at?

 

Spores101.com. I am making up some new jars today, gonna go get some river water today, I used filtered water last time, the version of PF-tek I was reading didnt specify. Think I might end up making an incubator as well.

 

Got my spores from sporespore.com and I used tap water.

 

Well, this morning 2 of the jars have one bright white spot each!!! Will probable take forver to colonize, but I don't care, it's doing something! They are chilling in an incubator now (temp where I live is up and down all day long). The temp in the incubator is between 78-84. Gonna make up some more cakes tonight, some with tap water, some with stream water, and some with bottled spring water.

 

Assuming you mean sporestore, consider yourself lucky. They are a 50/50 scam website (aff. with university scientific). I got scammed.

 

O wow, sporespore.com rofl. Yea I ment sporestore.com Really? Wow, I hope they did not rip me off by sending me fake spores. O_0 doubt it though.
