So, I've got 8s in my ears now and I mistakenly bought some 4's instead of 6's at echo project..but hey it was dark, we were tripping and you know how that goes. My question is, you kids think I could just slide the 4's in without blowin out my ear or rippin anthing? A good friend uh mine who has his ears gauged out huge said I could get away with it no problem... Should I wait and find some 6's or go for it?
Slow and steady wins the race. Go buy a six, and save the 4's for the next strech. I'm not really the one to ask about this because I don't strech myself, but I've seen enough people with cat's assholes on their ears to know that you should go conservative. You really won't lose anything by waiting. Peace
ditto that, esp at larger sizes. The differences get pretty big. if the piece is tapered, you could use it to stretch, slowly, with some o rings, yeah?
Don't do it...I skipped...not good...I went through the same thing...it wouldnt rip it or blow it, it would sure have some pressure, and be tight, but all in all, it will take longer to heal, thats what happened to me, do the 6's, wait a couple weeks, TRY the 4's, if it hurts upon entering..dont force, just wait..it will be better, trust us when we tell you that..
DONT SKIP! you can cause tearing and scar tissue, be more susceptible to infection, and it'll just be more painful than necesary. I skipped a size on my first stretch, and it just didn't seem right, for it to hurt that much. But from then on, I waited the right amount of time and didn't skip anymore, and now I'm at 1 inch. 3 years later.
for real brah...do what you will...I know from personal experience..just search these threads, you'll see how quickly I stretched, and I ended up getting an infection, had to downsize from a 2 to a 10, and had to wait, im still waiting...I have scar tissue that I have to rub with vitamin E every other day...but yeah, if that's not enough for you...then go for it, you will see...
good choice dude...you can have free will all you want, but you are asking for an opinion and suggestions that could have an impact on your future stretching, seeing as I skipped, it is harder for me to stretch my right ear now...but like you said, free will, so do what you will, just research a little bit about the problems with skipping..BMEzine has a lot of good info about it..people on the forums are pros after all
I see that you decided to wait-good call. If you skip a size and end up with scar tissue, all the stretches you do in the future will SUCK.
true that. I skipped in the smaller end and I now have a devil of a time going up. it still works and I got smart BEFORE I gave my self a "cats ass" (great description), but it still has some scarring issues on the one lobe. but again, I understand impatience and being eager, but this time delayed gratification is the better course if you will ever stretch again, OR plan to ever drop sizes. if your piece is tapered, slowly go up WHILE using your cool new piece.
Awesome name drop on BMEzine WWKCD729. But it is a very, very great site with tons of information. I've been a member on there for 2 years now, and they have cataloged images and experiences and articles for over 10 years now.
for sure brah...i love bmezine...it has a lot of useful info from people with personal experiences and professionals...so there is a lot of input, a lot of people skip, and a lot of people write their experiences on there so yeah...sorry for the advertising..lol..ITS NOT GOOD TO SKIP!!!
you guys should join IAM on BME also, then you can actually get into contact with those people. I've been on that community for 2 years, and have gotten and given a lot of advice (I've got quite a few large gauge piercings and working on my tattoo journey)
I love BME...Sadly I'm not a member yet...But soon hopefully I will be...And about stretching if you wait, do it right and not rush it'll come out a lot better than the people who just shove random things in their ears...Like other people have said the "cats ass" isn't very attractive...Especially when you could have avoided it...Anyway happy stretching!
stretching needs patience, and it can teach patience. Its your body, listen to it, if something doesn't feel right, don't do it. You'll find if you stretch right, it should only be a minor discomforting feeling, no actual pain though.
