Okay, so I'm just going to address one issue here if you have the time to listen, I'd really appreciate it... Recently (well, in the past year or so I guess) I've been deeply unmotivated to do anything. I'm still passionate about things that I think are unjust or things that I think should be changed, but in my work life I'm just... dead. I feel stressed, but I have no motivation to get anywhere and get on top of my work. I've had councilling before about stress and dealing with stuff but it didn't help... and it's getting worse now. I just CAN'T seem to make myself (okay... I know you can argue that I CAN but I find it extremely difficult) do anything - I'll have loads of work and I know I should do it... but I'll just sit there. Because I know that when I pick up my work and settle down to do it I'll just get even more miserable and won't do it half as well as I can. So instead I'll go and do something else (like ask you folk about it...) or I'll just break down and cry - without sounding lame. And as a result, nothing gets done, work piles up, I get even more stressed and miserable, bla bla bla... it's a vicious circle and I just have no idea how to get over it. I kinda need a (metaphorical) kick up the ass but I dunno what. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Or have you felt the same or know what I could do? (and if you're response is "it's cos you're a teenager" or "that's life" then don't ... it really doesn't help lol. this will not stop me failing life.) Thanks.
I had and still have the same problem, stress. What helped me: stay positive no matter what and I repeat it, NO MATTER WHAT. It's really hard, I truly understand because I passed from there too and I get stressed from time to time. Here's some things you can do: - Exercise, run for about 5-15 minutes ( I'm sure you already know this except you haven't tried it, I didn't believe this, I said this is shit but it really helped) - Stay positive - Go out more often, you may still feel sad/stressed but it's better than staying home - Go out more often with friends, do new things With these things, I'm 100% sure your problem can get better.
Yeah, I think that stuff could help, especially the exercising more bit - always makes me feel better when I'm stressed. I'll give it a go, thank you .
Yea I know what you mean Ive been feeling so stressed lately about everything. Try meditating, it wont solve everything but at least its a time of peace. Last night I had an essay to do and just didnt want to do it but I sat down and meditated and then I was able to go and do it. You just need to take some time to truly relax and find out whats bothering you.
Its important to play as it is to work. Balance. I suggest you find ways to play, then work becomes less of a burden. Get tired of playing, going back to work is almost a relief. x
Instead of looking at the pile of work in front of you as a "whole" break it down into smaller pieces. One day tell yourself "today I will get ____ done" and then do it, the next day same thing "I will get ____ done" and do it. Pretty soon your pile will be gone. Sometimes when things pile up and you get behind it is overwhelming. I think on some level many people feel this way; overwhelmed. Have you talked to your parents about how you are feeling? Do you eat a healthy diet? (Eating can do wonders to improve mental focus and mood.) You really should talk to your parents or your school counselor (if available). Sometimes just talking helps
