Hey all! I have a small but inconvenient problem. To the immediate right of the start button in windows there's this quicklaunch place. My most used button on there was the 'show desktop' one, which makes all windows retract to their trays. You know what I'm talking about. And I must have accidentally deleted it, cause it's gone. It sucks cause now I'm continuously pressing the firefox button instead, and want to be able to go to my desktop in a flash if necessary, not having to minimize all windows one by one.

I already replaced it with a shortcut to my desktop, but then I get my desktop in a new window, which isn't handy at all.

Does anyone know how I can get the button back? Thanks in advance...

right click an empty area of the task bar
    select toolbars
    select quick launch

In your sig are you suggesting that there is an analogy between your image of the USA and a podgy fat guy in a ridiculous suit on a quadbike ???
EG the USA is a fatfuck in a batman outfit?

and Robert is your mothers brother, as they say

Indeed. A film made by Americans, by the way. But indeed, you'll probably know.

What makes you assume I mean anything at all with my sig? It IS Captain America, after all, making a gesture of victory.

I don't know how you found out about that, but stay away from my family in the future, you creepy person, or I'll call the police. :p

The quick launch part is still there. Just not the show desktop icon that used to be within it. So... any further advice is still welcomed. But thanks.

Not a problem man... Not an average fix either though.

Open notepad and Copy the following into it.
save the file as Show Desktop.scf

Make sure that notepad doesn't add a .txt to the end of it, and save it wherever is out of the way. Drag that file down on your quicklaunch and it should work out fine for you.

actually I have been blissfully unaware of that film, sounds cool tho so will check it ASAP.

sorry about the button, I misinterpreted what you needed to achieve
and thought you just wanted the quick launch back

    YES!! It worked. :)

Thanks, man. I never would have figured that out on my own.

@ Bugnito: yes, you should, it's hilarious.
