Large Cuban expatriate population in Florida, Florida got Bush elected, Fidel stubbornly refuses to die..........
Once more, ......Fidel is a big boy who sized the reins and held them through the embargo, assination attempts, war in Angola and Grenada, The colapse of the Soviet Union. Through the terms of many Presidents and has passed power to his Brother. He booted Che. He is nobodys tool. He might be a lot of things but he's nobodys pawn. The US is not going to "do" Cuba. bush has enough on his hands and should shut up and try to finish what he started elsewhere. If there was ever an example of a situation that will resolve itself over time, its Cuba. Bush worried about Chinese oil drilling in the Florida Straits?
We're not going to invade Cuba, we would've done it already and tried and failed miserably with the bay of pigs. However when Castro died, we'll definitly be involved
Hey, didn't you hear? Castro is set to live 128 years! http://guanabee.com/2007/09/fidel-castro-deathwatch-you-ma-1.php Ahh Castro, and even if he is actually dead, remember " Big Brother Is Watching "
Ya....Clint an Janet Reno kidnapped that kid: Eliam Gonzalez and send him back to live on The Island, for what ? Cost em the election tho. Gave Fidel a media victory.
Ya...... that photo of the kid being taken at gunpoint was powerful. There are hundreds of famlies which are separated by the Cuba-US divide who are awaiting a release to immigrate to The US. What was so special about Eliam Gonzalez ? Was he being abused or deprived or something? Did we have to turn the Justice Dept into a division of DYFS ? and hand Fidel a propoganda coup? But this is all yesterdays broadsides. Current events begs the Question.................. What about Chinese oil drilling on the continental shelf, 100 miles from Key West, upstream on the Gulf Stream from our Atlantic seaboard. What kind of polution standards will be applied ?
