in my family, we still do actually carve real pumpkins...only i prefer growing them to buying them. roasting the seeds is fun too. but neighborhood kids will smash them if you leave them out...that's a given.
even though it is a pagan holiday,,, we still carve pumpkins. The family object of it the important thing of it. I have 5 boys, so it is an important part of October not so much Halloween. But the scary part, the visual part is the big thing for alot of us. Three of my boys and myself carve the pumpkins. The two older- 21yrs and 19yrs. they don`t carve pumpkins but I myself will always carve a pumpkin or 2 or more. no matter how old I get. smilin`
Nah. It's them pumpkins. They congregate overnight at a particular house to chat and party. Then they forget which house they belong to and go back to the wrong one. .
speaking of pumpkins getting smashed, is pumpkin ale big everywhere else this time of year...or is it just here?
did you have to add buy? are a lot of people growing or stealing pumpkins and then carving them? lol maybe i am out of the loop
