by trampoline in the snowy desert
the wandering kaballist
weeps
ecstatic.



my wordless
mantra hysterically paints
incendiary arbours
on the hyperventilating starry midnight sky.



the mind
is submerged.
i have breathed
out the last choking bubbles and
ruptured the viscous surface.



i am eternal.
Adonai i have come to the realization
i have been here before.

mt sinai jerusalem warsaw auschwitz johannesburg belfast hamilton.

 

i have always been here. my eyes have been turned
away closed.
but other eyes
your eyes have been dilated in awe.



Spock handed kaddish tunes
lysergic acid verses
to ginsberg. to rothko. to my father.



there is a meeting and all
who searched congregate
on waves
respirating above the horizon. i bounce
toward oncoming jazz psalms.



the covenant is exposed
my fat body frail
my soul ecstatic
pulsating throbbing as
the night sky
is flooded.
