I used to set up elaborate Halloween displays that included a trick dog act that featured Sunny Dee the Border collie. There were hoops set up at different levels off the ground, a teeter-totter, a table with horns, bells and a miniature drum set, colorful barrels and much –much more. At the center of it all was a 10-foot wooden stepladder with a diving board attached to the top. Under the diving board there was a small glass of water and a sign that said. Sorry that I am not here to perform for you and it’s only because I have so much to do. But you should see me run you should see me track – I’m on guard 24/7 no brag - just fact. But most of all I like to play and wish to you a sunny day. Sincerely Sunny Dee the Border collie. (I also painted a paw print on the sign) Cheers!
yeah. when i was little, and just being introduced to the wonderful world of writing, i wrote a mediocre poem about my cat savannah. it was pretty good for a little kid but i lost it somewhere long ago. last time i read it was years ago.. after she died.
I really like the description of your Halloween obstacle course and I have to say that Sunny Dee sounds like a very cool dog and a most special Border Collie. I really, really like her name too, so here are a few words I wrote years ago for my first Border Collie... A Border Collie is like a friend to you, especially when you're feeling blue. They always love to play, even on a stormy day. They can be your most loyal friend even until the world comes to and end. Toby
When my rat (Mr Rahoo) passed away I wrote him a little song on my guitar, and played it afterwards. He was so cute and the song reminded me of him so much. That was when I was 14/15.
