Sweet- just because i said doctor doesn't mean that i meant go see a doctor that will put pills in front of you There are lots of doctors that will listen to you. You HAVE to focus on the positive. And don't get me wrong, i didn't say you can't take care of a child depressed.. you can , is it healthy ? no. But its done. We all have our problems right!

I know a woman with the same condition, she's due in November. She lost two babies previously, and has been on an aspirin regime and she made it!

No problem. Her name is Amy and I used to work with her before she opened her own shop, she's very real! She was so afraid to tell anyone about her third pregnancy after losing the first two. She hasn't had any issues with this pregnancy. I didn't even know she was pregnant until my boss mentioned it and I thought I must come home and tell SDL about this!

fricknfrack...what you say makes no sense btw...the reason im dpressed is the fact i have no children, hence the depresssion would go away if i had a child....see where it makes no sense?..i wouldnt be raising a child depressed, if i had a child id be the happiest woman on earth

SWEET- your reply after i posted that was sure i guess
than you posted after that - i make no sense

please let me advise you .. that you want every one to have a pity party for you, sure you have had 2 miscarriages i feel terrible about that .. You know i have had 1 at the age of 18. Obviously it wasn't meant to be . You found the reasoning behind why ?

At least after everything gets put into place you'll be able to have children . Your 23 years old.
What i am trying to say in the post is .
"IF" you have a child and are depressed its not healthy to be depressed and taking care of teh baby . Reality is it happens its done.

IMHO- you cannot go from a very sad point to a happy state in 0.2 seconds.

Please don't take me as i'm chopping you up Sweet- I'm one that has to wait 3 more years to have children and i'll be 26 in 30 days

I remember a post you made right after your wedding in Angelgodiva's forum that you were depressed. You have been given time to better your life and your future child's life.
Do it. for you, for your sweetie and for your future babe.

ive been depressed for quite some time, this is true. but ive been depressed for one reason.

i feel like i have to convince myself i will never have children and try to be happy about it or everyone think s i am messed up or something.

As a person who has suffered from depression in the past, I offer only this advice:

What is "making" you depressed isn't external. It is something that is coming from inside you. Having a baby probably won't fix your depression. You need to fix whatever is broken inside of you if you hope to be happy. Its like internal bleeding... sticking a band-aid on your elbow isn't going to stop the hemoraging. Your depression is the internal bleeding, the baby would be the band-aid.

I hope you know that I am not picking on you. I understand why you would be depressed. I've become depressed over things a lot smaller in the past. Please take my advice into consideration... if not for yourself, then for your family that currently exists and for the family you may have in the future.

    well its quite simple
the things making me depressed is knowing i dont have a family of my own
its the fear that i will never have a family of my own
its the fear of the fact that i have hughes syndrome , which dwindles my chance of ever having children to about 40%

these are the things depressing me

It's not just those things, I'm sure, SDL....Depression is hardly ever just because of one or two things. I know, as I'm still suffering my way through a long-standing post-partum/guilt-induced depression due to several reasons: lack of support, bad diet, no exercise, untreated food allergen issues, no social outings outside of family, not following the "path" I'd had laid out before moving to WA state, my birth and post-partum period issues, etc, etc etc....It's all entwined. It's not one issue. Sometimes, it's not really any issues, but just chemical depression, or hormonal depression.

Please, for yourself, your family, and your future family, see someone that will help you overcome this period. You will be so much more at peace, and life will seem so much better. And then, you'll have an easier time treating whatever pregnancy-related boulders in your lifepath. :)

i do not trust psychologists and psychiatrists
growing up my motherwent to them and all they did was tell her there was nothing wrong with her and gave her a bill for 2000 bux.
    i dont like meds either.
i have an appointment with my GP on tuesday to discus extra treatment for my hughes syndrome, and they seem to think most of my depression is a side effect of the depression. i have read alot on this syndrome, and depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain caused by the blood clotting which makes sense. so i have a feeling once i get this appointment over and done with and on a treatment for my hughes syndrome this whole depression thing will be over,.

so what psych HAS helped other ppl?

how many have been helped ?

JUST because your mother has had bed experiences doesn't mean you are.

Don't hold grudges against ALL psychs

There are a lot of good dr's out there and most of them will help you IF you give them the chance.....

um... hi. My name is Regan. I've posted several times in this very thread about how therapy, psychiatrists and councellors have helped me with depression and everything else that came my mental way.

    So, now you've met one.

hey i am another one who has been helped by therapy.

i personally have alot of craziness going on in my life at the current moment and i believe that in part because of the therapy that i previously had, i am able to deal with it all that much better.

don't knock it til you've tried it.

But oh all those ppl's shes talked to have it in her convinced that THEY ALL of them are such bad inexperienced dr's. TRY it out and stop generalizing. THAT will get you absolutely NO where.

Go walking along the street i bet ya any that 50-75 % have been in rehab in trouble or needed some type of councelling to get through life. i'm just picking a percentage out of a hat. I'll get back to ya with a definate percentage. Stop pointing fingers and TRY it yourself. Sometimes it better to stop listening to others and hear within yourself.
