Proof that God and Heaven don't exist

fed up american........ though i have not posted here b4 i have read numerous posts on numerous threads by you. it's obvious you hold extreme biterness in your heart towards christianity. if all you can post is negative and stupid comments like ROFL i suggest you go somewhere else. this is a place for learning not simplistic and feeble minded bashing. most of us truly wish to just discuss. yourself on the otherhand, you are are just looking to start personal attacks. so do all of us a favor and just leave.

However, nobody seems to dare to reply to them.

i have read the posts and I find his bashing telling people believing in God is fairy tales quite humorous. Seeing as he is an atheist I find it extremely humorous that he says faith and believing in things such as God being funny. It's extremely ironic because in reality to be an atheist you need more faith than believing in God. To be an atheist you need to know 100 percent as a fact that God does not exist, which I am sure you nor anyone else can prove. It's like telling me that there is nothing in a cabinet but you haven't opened it so your really just speculating. You have not looked in that cabinet for yourself so you will never be able to tell me God does not exist. Though I obviously am a believer in God, and cannot 100 percent prove he exists but there certainly is more evidence pointing towards a God than us just being an accident.

please make a list of your reasons for thinking that God does not exsist, and beside each point list the sources, and i will find the errors in the sources

I know Fed Up used to be a Christian. I know what has driven him away from the church and know what his personal beliefs of religion are. What I am saying though is this. He is an atheist. There is a difference though between being an atheist and a true atheist. He has given all indication that he is a true atheist. An atheist says I don't believe that there is a God. A true atheist, is someone that knows there is not a God, which Fedup American says he knows God does not exist. A true atheist can really not exist because he would have had to go throughout the entire universe and find that there was no God, which is physically impossible. Me on the other hand i'm not saying I know that there is a God, but i'm believing, or putting faith into this because I feel that there is evidence pointing toward a God. Do you see the difference? I would love to give you evidence as long as you give yours on why there is not a God.

 

I dont really think FedUp has said he does not believe in a God.
I think he said he just thinks Christianity is a bullshit, i'm not 100% sure if he has claimed that there cant be a god.

Anyway,
why God does not exist?
I will give you a few things out of many many things:

- Nobody has ever seen him/her/whatever
- Nobody ever heard God, although some have claimed it, but I think those were having mental issues
- If something happends and people say: God has helped me, it is bullshit imho. They have helped their selves. If I am standing in a difficult situation with my back against the wall, then there is no jesus that will help me, it will be my own strength, if you want to call your own strength "God", then be my guest, but it doesnt proove anything.
- Modern science has shown things that make the bible look even more ridicilous.

Anyway,
all this is not evidence.
I can not proof that God does not exist, nor did I ever suggest I can.
You however claim to have evidence that will proof God's existence... if there is this kind of evidence, then why are there still atheists?
Show me your evidence, you got some of my reasons for not believing.

To me this seems like he does not believe in God.

Also by evidence I mean clues/ hints towards something. For example if you found a knife at an accused murderers house you could say that's evidence but not necessarily proof until you would run tests and other things like that. Basically that's what I am saying. I cannot prove it but I have evidence that there is if you understand where I'm coming from?Basically that's what anyone else in the whole entire world would say whether they were an atheist or someone who believes in a Creator or God. Therefore it's a circular arguement both ways.
For me this is what plays into me believing there is a God.

1. 1st law of energy which states mass cannot be created or destroyed. Although, there have been "amendments" to this to explain the Big Bang, for me too much luck would be involved to create this. This for me would be a much easier and simpler solution to say that there was one Creator that simply just made the Earth rather than looking for a more complicated answer with luck involved.
2. Why as humans are we so much more advanced than every other creature on Earth? There really is no reason why we should have this much intelligence. It's not necessary it's not something that we needed to evolve into. Also, if there wasn't an afterlife/ a God why would we be debating about whether there is a God or not? I doubt animals debate whether there is a God/afterlife because they are not physically conscious of this. If there is conciousness of death/afterlife/a God I find it hard to believe that somthing is not there. It's like us yearning for something that is not there. Why would we yearn for water if it was not there? So why would we yearn to know if there was a God if he was not there?
3. Final major reason is this. I have seen change within people's lives because of the Bible, which is an inspired by God. Seen as a sickness by many which include you too, it's no doubt that there is a change once people have read or applied this book to there lives. I have yet to find any fallacies with it, it has always been 100 percent consistent and I have seen it change my life too.

This along with many many other reasons are why I believe Christainty/God is something that is true and there.

You can make up any story and make people believe it... come on

And ofcourse it changes your life if you take over the essentials and make that your way of living, but that certainly does not proof god, it is yourself reading a book all along.

It is human nature to wonder about whether there exists a creator, a purpose, an unseen force in our lives...and its not just because someone said that. There are religions in every corner of the earth. All wondering about the same basic question. This is a natural yearning to know...I hope you can see the difference between this and harry potter for gods sake

 

We are assuming that the cabinet is empty.
You are assuming that there's some mythical tooth fairy in there who created this shtty as world of misery and cruelty because he was bored.

There is ZERO evidence "towards a god". And we don't need evidence to disprove your make believe god. Rather you would need to prove it to us. That's how science 'proof' and 'evidence' (and science) work. Why should we waste time trying to disprove something that doesn't exist? The3 burden of proof is on you, and you have not one shred of evidence.

 

Why don't you please find evidence that I am not a pink fucking elephant? The burden of proof is on you. If the concept of 'god' wasn't such a total far fetched crock of sht, then maybe I would try and disprove it. As it stands, it's too obvious to waste time with.

You're right. It makes sense to put the burden of proof on people who are making assertions, particularly if they have to do with extraordinary events or beings the existence of which is in doubt. I hope you're aware that just because this is reasonable, it doesn't mean God, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and pink fucking elephants, etc., aren't real. They have no obligation to prove themselves to you.

 

salmon4me...dude, spiritual matters are not science. The burden of proof isn't on anyone. Look at the title of this thread...the people posting here were a bit dismayed that someone was trying to disprove God's existence with very poor logic. That is how this whole thing got started. Not because someone wanted to PROVE to you the existence of God (frankly, most of us don't really care what you do or don't believe) but exactly the opposite.

Yea, all people that believe in God are stupid and have poor grammar.A great conclusion and insight by a great mind...and apparently all people who DON'T believe in God have VERY poor logic skills, which is ironic because their strongest arguments are based on their logic, not intuition. But guess what, this US and THEM crap is really stupid don't you think?? I dont side with every religious person, and Im sure you don't side with every atheist.

surely it is in our nature, but that does not proof anything at all.
It's a empty statement and had nothing to do with "evidence".
It's completely irrelevant what's in our nature and what is not.
Like you said: it's a QUESTION, it's *NOT* truth, nobody knows for sure.

And there is no difference between Harry Potter and the bible,
both are made up story's.

Liroy Harry Potter is not God. Harry is just a wizard. Unfortunately, I don't think that you have fully "grasped" what I am trying to say. You take one very irrelevant part and just run with it for example Harry Potter. The difference is that Harry Potter is admittedly made up, that's why it's in the fiction section. Have you ever taken a look at the Bible or see if what it claims is true?? Salmon4me, what a majority of the people have said on here is that God does not exist and that they know this. If you read my other posts you will see my views on this. Your making a very key mistake. Science and religious proof are extremely different and cannot be used to prove something like this. Science can neither prove nor disprove that there is a God. So though scientifically I cannot prove there is a God, neither can you. Now how do you suppose this world got here?????????
