Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to be asking, but I have a really odd issue that I was hoping to run past anyone who's experienced in the physiological aspects behind meditative states.

I have at this stage in my experience, relatively no problem activating any/all chakras at will when I am concentrated, but on some days, when I meditate, the feeling of bliss (a deep warm/fulfilling feeling) that often normally radiates at and Between working, balanced chakras... feels unattainable, and instead feels like pressure/stress/discontentment at all the areas I am concentrating on (like a sudden deficiency). Some days, it's kind of on and off (causing a lot of energy to suddenly stop sometimes--just as unpleasant/potentially harmful as it sounds :(), but other times, I simply can't feel that warmth at all, even deep down [knowing not to "need" it but always to "ask" for it, regardless], and experience the distinct symptoms in my physical body of the chakras not working/producing hormones as they should be (a feeling that describes physical Depression very well).

It seems that the issue may be then be neurological in nature [i.e. what neurotransmitters activate chakra channels], so if anyone knows the scientific background behind the way our energy system works (complicated amino-acid/chemical explanations are more than welcome ;p), please lend me a hand in figuring this out.. my entire life is turning upside-down with inability to cope with stress and everything affecting me more than it should due to this sole issue.

    Thanks very much!

    To Zodiac7,
Namaste my friend, I will try to address your situation, but there are alot of issues here you are both over emphasizing, and under emphasizing.
Firstly, even though you think that you are completely exposing yourself to the total function of a given cakra, I can wholeheartedly assure you that your are not. The fact that you view the Cakras through their physiological effecting implies an exceedingly narrow stance on just what the Cakras are.
Secondly, the main aspect of Cakra function your are overlooking is their "Pranic Manifesting Capacity". The Cakras manifest your entire body and mind mechanism with a divine spiritual modality called Prana, and this Prana is a more real than the Cakras are.
Thirdly, because of this lack of Pranic awareness, you ar misinterpreting most of which is happening to you.
You mention "bliss" frequently. In all reality what you are actually experiencing are just meager flashes of this bliss, what is called in Sanskrit, "ananda". Sure, ananda is great, and anyone with good sense would want this sublime feeling to permeate their being. But accomplshing this as a total living state is only attained with an awakened and fully functioning Kundalini.
Which brings us to another issue, you seen to be ignorant of or either inavoidance of the role the Kundalini Devi plays in your manifestation of consciousness via the Cakra paradigm. The Cakras are the body of the Kundalini, and this is also described in another thread on this forum. And don't feel bad, many others make this mistake. What you should consider doing is developing an integral Yoga Tantra Sadhana which would integrate your life into a discilpline by which you would approach overall divine self realization, and not a pick and choose type of program, with limited finite self karmic goals at the helm.
Back to the original point about the feelings you are having, they are coming from your lower three cakras. Your Cakras are full of negative karmic samskaras. Even though playing with them may give a few good feelings here and there, the finite ego is an analomoly on the face of the pure self. So bad feelings must come with the good. The overall object here should be to gid rid of the goal of "having feelings" altogether, and seek Samadhi, divine realization, in which your entire being would become this bliss you have seen a sample of. I assure this level of life exists, I walk in it.
I would suggest replacing your goals with some higher and more complete ones, so as to allow yourself a new and complete walk in subjective heaven. A proper Sadhana done an hour a day will give it to you, over the months and years.
Remember, the funny feelings your having are coming from pranic karmas, not hormones. For now, refer to some of my meditation suggestions on this forum such as developing onepointedness with om chanting. Leave your lower five Cakras alone without considering Kundalini awakening.
PS, you are overstimulating your navel(manipura) cakra. This is why your stress is increased without an increase in bliss.
I'll be glad to help you in anyway, Go to www.kundalinidream.org
