I'm curious about Yoga, and Nude Yoga in particular. A friend has recommended that I take up Nude Yoga for a variety of reasons, and I think that the idea is worth looking into. As a lifelong nudist, I have no problem with the nudity, but I know next to nothing about Yoga, and my body flexibility is..... well... limited. There are Nude Yoga classes about an hour from my home, however, they are geared for intermediate-to-advanced, so I think it would be best if I do this one-on-one before I consider a group setting. More importantly, I am still very new to the practice of Yoga itself. Other than reading all of the messages in this forum, can anyone guide me as to a good starting place to learn about the practice, and where I would go about finding a one-on-one tutor at a reasonable or even fee-free basis? Nothing worse then staring at the hairy ass of an overweight middle aged man in the middle of downward facing dog... Google nigga, do you use it?
Dreamoftheiris: I never said anything about being overweight, just that I wasn't very flexible. No hairy ass either, not that something like that should matter a wit to anyone who is serious about Yoga. Very unhip reply.
Lol, I was just playing around. Well if you really want some help, seriously use google and just type the town you live in with the words "Nude Yoga" or something like that. I thought it was hip...
The word Yoga means union, your consciousness in oneness or union with the consciousness of God. In this regard, what is required is a nakedness of heart, not body. If you are in Northern Cali. check out Yoga Mandala in Berkeley on Telegraph Ave, and ask for Dharmanidhi Sarasvati. www.trikainstitute.org
