Sorry if someone has allready mentioned this band. If so, they deserve to be mentioned again. Perpetual Groove is Awsome! Plus they are taper friendly, so you can give them a listen if you haven't heard them yet, I highly recomend it!

Hi Drumminmama. Unfortunatly I was working the night EOTO played up here in Summit County, and unfortunatly I'm working tonight also... I'm off Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday though, so my plans are Bassnectar at 8150 Monday, Zilla at 8150 on Tuesday (I'm skipping Cheese, unless I can somehow score a ticket), and Moonshine Still here in Keystone on Wednesday. Then Copper Mountain Sunsation starts next weekend with all kinds of wicked free shows. I love going to see live music!

    The Natural Breakdown

they are my favorite east cost jam band. they are amazing is ways that cant be explained, only heard, and felt.
i cant wait till "some kind of jam 2" in April so i can see them live!

an excerpt from their page, its pretty much their manifesto:
"Our goal is to raise consciousness through sound and word. To bring crowds to intense peaks, through a winding river of sound. Like Nature breaks down rock over thousands of years, and how everything can be broken down to its base component, light: Natural Breakdown is a hopeful outlook and a call for change. We believe that the world is in need of some serious healing, and a strong vehicle for this shift is music. We want to break down the barriers between people and bridge the gap between performers/audience, to uncover that core experience of unity and oneness. We strive to bring people together for a unique and uplifting musical healing experience and hopefully spread the seeds of a brighter future in this time of great change."

My new local favorite is WMD's. Keller Williams and Gibb Droll are both from my area. They are joined by Jeff Sipe and Keith Moseley, should be the bomb.

Alright so I play in this band Ultraviolet Hippopotamus. We're doing alright playing Michigan and some surrounding areas check us out for free here.

btw New Monsoon is sweet and those guys are really nice to boot. We played with them at a festy in Michigan called hoxeyville. Check that out at http://www.hoxeyville.com/
There were a couple of bigger bands there, one of which was extremely rude to all the volunteers who were working very hard for free. But I'm happy to say that the New Monsoon boys acted like they were just another one of the guys and chilled out with all of us local musicians. They also became huge fans of Bell's beer that weekend (as they should, if you haven't checked out Bell's Brewery in K-Zoo, MI you must.)
