I just downloaded what was said to be Jimi Hendrix doing an instrumental "Somewhere over the rainbow". The guitar sounds like Jimi for the most part, but the drums and other back ground music don't sound anything that I've heard from him before. Can someone tell me if this is his version of the song or if someone labeled it wrong?

seriously!? man i swear to god that sounds NOTHING like the style of jimi. It doesnt even sound like the guitars he uses. it sounds like a Ibanez or something like that. Honestly it sounds like that song that was re-done but van halen "You really got me now" i think that was van halen who re-did that but it sounds insanely like the begining of that remake. do you think maybe jimi might have covered that song but the song that were talking of is acually van halens remake? dl it and tell me what you think. because this sounds like a 90s remake of the song. way to high-tech and crisp of a sound to be recorded by jimi. tell me what yall think

the track is jimis, but went thru much post production to put it out after he died. Several of the posthumous releases have that sound, and i attribute alot of it to that.

plus there were a few guitar dubs added in that arent jimi, but the rhythm and solos are JH.
