Did people back in the 60s and 70s trim or shave their pubes? I asked my mom but she just laughed and walked away. I know this is a stupid question but I'm curious. Thank you for your time.

ok I can't resist this one.. not only did we trim shape and cutivate..I personaly like the mr.ziggie. zig zag shape and there was the Jimmi(all fuzzy like a fro)..hey we tie-dyed them too..ummm.. there was the kreshna look.. all bald and shinny.. and the ZZ.. long and pointed.. the hidie.. braided, the jamacia.. dreadlocked.. that's about all I can think of at the moment. Can any one else think of any?!? shameless

This would be funny if it weren't so sad. Ya know, back in the 60's and 70's we fought to have the right to not have doctors shave us for childbirth. It kind of saddens me to see so many women succoming to the current societial pressure to conform to some modern masculine idea of what is beautiful and sexy. Women are sexy in their natural state and should not feel they have to shave themselves, stuff themselves into pushup bras, or surgerically "enhance" themselves in order to feel good about themselves. We really aren't Barbie dolls!
Mo is right, Still after all this time women who choose not to shave anything get the weirdo eye thrown on them. Although I do find it strange that you are concerned with what people did withthere pubs back then, when there are tremendous amounts of other things to be concerned with.... One of my first boyfriends asked me to not shave my legs...., hell, I didn't want to shave them anyway. I like that I don't concern myself with things like that. When I had Sarah..almost 28 years ago, they shaved me....and that was one of the things i was so happy to not have done to me when I had Donovan, I had a mid-wife, no shaving, no cutting...there are ways to get around that too, its just easier for the Doc's. And don't EVEN get me started on the high heels...lol. teepi
OMG high hells, now theres a man thing if ever there were.. what tortures must we endure to be appealing to the opposet sex.. I don't know why anyone would make a pointy shoe for rounded toes and what they do to your back, ohh myyy.. I don't know how many women I have treated for back re-alingment from high hells. I think they should be banned and sent into the black hole.. Shameless
