okay i thought i would be nice to have a thread where we could post our questions and have then answered. now, i don't know if a place like this already exists but i haven't seen it... and a we could also have concerns, comments or just stuff we need advise on, not just questions! i dont know it could work? :& thanks! have a great day (to all)
okay! i have the first problem... my school has this thing where every year they invite the most "unique" students on a very "special" camping trip so they could share their "unique" talents, ideas and stuff like that. so this year they nominated me and i got accepted (i had no clue about this until today when they gave me the permisson slip) the deal is its 6 hours away from the city, i miss 3-4 days of school ( but i must get all homework in advance, since we have homework time there) and its freezing. normally i would have no problem with this but it costs $40, and i have to buy a sleeping bag cuz i dont have one and there is a limitation on the stuff we could bring and oh yea none of my buddies got in :nopity: so should i go? i mean i have no money so i would have to borrow it and i also need to buy halloween stuff for the little kids who come to my school every year to trick or treat since i said i would. what should i do? i wanna go but it seems there are a lot of things in my way.... please help!!!
If you want to go then just go for it. Dont worry about whats standing in the way itll all work out. If you want to do it dont miss out on an experience because of 40 dollars. Plus it sounds cool getting away from school a few days.
if you never go, you'll never know. ****** sorry for the double post, my internet stalled. **********
I'd go even if your friends aren't going, you could make some new friends! I mean, it sounds like a good experience to me, I'd imagine it would be quite interesting. And congratulations on getting nominated! Hmmm... I'll try and think of a question now peace and love Jane
I personally wouldn't go. It just sounds like a bad idea. I don't like being cold first of all and most importantly. It is also hard to sleep on the ground, plus the school work thing sucks! School work should be done at home when you have time to really study... not when you are trying to have fun. Who does school work on a field trip anyway? Field Trips are supposed to be fun... and this just doesn't sound like it to me. On the other hand, floyd has a point. If you don't go you won't know if it's worth it or not! But from the looks of it, I would be miserable if it were me going!
Well, it depends on how badly you'd like to go. If you are really interested in going, I say go for it. Don't worry about the money and everything else. If you don't particularly care about going, then don't waste your time and money. Why go out of your way and put up with inconveniences for something you don't care about? I hope I helped. Here is a question for you all: Why do people say, "Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?" Isn't today yesterday's tomorrow ?
I never did my homework in high school and everybody just accepted that, generally. No longer here in univ though. What do Frysians study, anyway? Fierljeppen? (sorry)
Basicly it was the history teacher education, but in the third year you could choose to go on in a general way. Since I don't like to teach (I've now experience as well, but I always suspected it wasn't my thing  ) I choose that right away, which I've planned from the start. Lately I wish I hadn't choose this study at all though. Except for the real history subjects, which is only about 40% of the education, I'm bored and annoyed to death.
That sucks, man. I know how it feels, sometimes I feel I'm only doing what I'm doing because I don't want these last 4 years to be in vain. I should at least get my BA degree. But I'm still very, very far from that point though I should have gotten it by now. I just can't seem to put any effort in it, somehow.
