Whats up all. I have a question/concern. I live near sac, and maybe its just the area/county im in, but it seems to me not that many people trip anymore. i know it's never really been widely popular since the 60's except for those select few of us who can handle it. I was just wondering everyone elses thoughts on this. I may be totally wrong who knows. lol. Also, is there anyone in the area (nor cal) who has this same issue? one of the reasons i came here, was for the possibility of meeting like minded people in the area.
in my area its a growing scene. Lst year almost no one had even ever seen it let alone tried it. Then, after i tripped, and spread the word to everyone it seemed like everyone was trying it. The constant availability of potent white fluff and mad festivals seemed to have something to due with it. All my friends have tripped, almost everyone who i associate with has at least tried it. It's still underground. In it's element it is hugely popular. Everyone who is in to it is REALLY in to it...me and my buddies herald it as a wonder drug. It was alot more widespread in the 90's because of dead/phish shows and other jam bands. LSD is weird because its a popular drug but it's underground at the same time. I've always thoguht that acid has the ability to absolutely blow up nationwide with an explosion of widespread use; it needs a new movement to give the drug substance. Doesnt seem like antything like that well happen till 2010 at least...MDMA is the drug of choice in my area right now. It's surpassed even cocaine, which is still very popular
hehe white fluff...best acid i've ever tried. that aside, i guess your right, i just wish there were more people in my area to trip with. so, lol, anyone live in nor cal? =P
Its a pretty.. same staying scene, maybe growing a slight bit around where I live, its hidden though; you don't see it if you don't know where to look.
it sort of comes in waves. it was really big in the late 90s and early 2000s when i started doing it. then sometime around 2004 it seemed to have dried up. it seems to be coming back again, but like has been said before it's sort of hidden in plain sight. it will never be what it was in the 1960s though.
I wasn't into any of this in the 90's, but supposedly it was really big then with the whole Phish scene and and even larger Dead Head crowd still trooping around. Then after the Pickard bust there was a drought for a little while, but it seems like now it's flowing just fine. You just have to find the right crowd in your area, which is easy to do if you are a socially capable person and make it your goal to find it. For the longest time in Birmingham, AL, I was struggling to find weed, and then I met some people who were plugged in, and evidently there is plenty of L going around even down there. Pretty much none of my friends in NYC know how to get L, which is hilarious, because obviously there is plenty up here. It all depends on what kind of people you hang out with.
unless there is some huge movement again like in the 60's with groups of musicians and other famous people doing it openly, LSD will remain a small underground scene. i realize there are many circles of friends all over the world who use LSD. but it is not popular because it is not endorsed by our entertainment like alcohol is. personally i hope that psychedelic music becomes mainstream again. if that happened you would see many more people tripping.
Yep. Psychedelic music can change the world. In order to change everyone you need to find a common ground. And music is something everyone likes. Imagine if you could create such a sound that could carry out the truth. The world would be a much better place.
