So, uh, I got my septum pierced tonight. I love it, yeah.

    But here's the deal:

    Runny nose.

Should I worry? I've got this H2Ocean spray to clean my piercing with, so if I just use that regularly, will that take care of it, for the most part?

Twist a piece of tissue so it makes a point. Stick in nose (carefully). Soak up snot.

That's what I did when I got mine pierced. My allergies were awful. Q-tips are helpful too.

It should not cause an infection or anything serious! However, yah know when you get a really runny nose and wipe it a lot so it gets sore?!?! Yah might want to watch out for that because if it gets rubbed raw that could cause an infection but the snot is sterile to the body. Just like peeing on a genatile piercing.

when mine wasnt healed i would just rinse my face with water and pat it dry... or just get some tissues and shove it up there do not rub then you'll look like the sneazles from puf the magic dragon.

I have had my 8g septum ring out for a month or so. I just popped a ring back in and it burned and my nose got runny. I rinsed it with water. It's been a couple of hours now and all is fine. There is little to no pain anymore.

Don't f with the piercing. Just use the h20cean as directed and don't touch it or get it dirty. Alternately, sea salt soaks work jjust as well. If you're nose is really running, take some sudafed or allergy meds. Also, try to drink lots of water, eat healthy foods, and get rest. Your nosee is probably running because its irritated or you're getting sick. Eitherway, taking care of your whole body will help. Its tryingt o heal a wound

Definately don't touch it more than you need too. If it gets dirty clean it with mild soap and water.
