ahhh the greatest rpg of all time imo. did anybody else cry when sephiroth killed Aeris. then again i was 10 when i first beat the game so i weeped
Fuck yeah this is the best game ever. I had 80+ hours on one game, and I played it through about 5 times.
7 was good, but my favorite is 10. it just blew me away. have 100+ hours on it. it seemed like it had a better theme/moral too it. about the evils and corruption of religion and the stupidity of following blindly. about how all you need is too question things and good will come of it. i can relate too it more. shit that Tidus had in his personal life with his dad and shit i can completly relate too
Yeah 10 was fucking awesome as well. But 7, man it was the first Final Fantasy to come out on a next generation console (at the time anyways). I think it might evan have been the first 4 disc game. It was massive for a game when it came out. But yeah 7 and 10 were my favorites. Did anyone like Final Fantasy Tactics? I thought it was pretty cool.
im not a fan of tactics games. anyone else find 12 to be a dissapointment? i just coul,dnt get into the story enough to finish it. plus i cant stand the new battle system. hopefull 13 will be better. but even if it has the same battle system as 12, Square Enix is making a game called The Last Remnant which looks totally bad ass. and it has the good old RPG battle system
fuck yeah the last remnant looks BAD ass. i do love 10. but u just cant beat 7 imo. i liked 8 and 9 also but 12 sucked.
I recently watched the end scence, when holy fails to beat the meteor and the life force comes out of the planet. And Aeris is behind the whole scene? damn, and the 500 years later with the planet over- growth and the birds? I cant lie, I cried just like I did the first time I finished the game. Just Curious, how can you hate on Aeris? Did you ever get her final limit break???
FF7 was the best in my opinion, with the Super Nintendo games coming in right after. FF8 was really good too, and 9 was quite solid, but it didn't hold my attention like the previous ones (perhaps the fact that I was older made a difference?) I have to disagree with those who liked 10. I am not a fan of 10 at all. The music was terrible, the voice acting was terrible... I just could not get into it at all. I haven't played 12 except for about 10 minutes in my friend's dorm a couple of weeks ago. Two of my friends, whose judgment on RPGs I trust very much, swear that it's fantastic, so I might check it out sooner or later. Man, I miss my RPG phase so much. RPGs were seriously my life for two or three years starting when I received FF7 for my 12th birthday, one month after its release in September, 1997. I had heard it was supposed to be one of the greatest games ever made, and I rented it two or three times before realizing I had to own it. I was so in love with Aeris, I can't lie The whole love triangle was so amazing... and the music, oh man. The first time I heard the prelude and the title screen with nothing but the buster sword came up, I was hooked. Playing FF7 was seriously one of the greatest art/entertainment experiences of my life, up there with watching Star Wars and reading Lord of the Rings as a kid, reading Siddhartha, the Fountainhead, and other such monumental works as a young adult. I truly believe Final Fantasy 7 is one of the greatest works of art, medium aside, of the last few decades.
Well that sucks, because she and I had wedding arrangments since I was 13, if only she was still alive haha
