So I still haven't tried acid yet. (working on it) I was wondering if it is anything like marijuana. Like.. if I smoke by myself I can trip, stare at stuff, and close my eyes and get really into music and theres no one to snap me out of it. Thats usually when I feel like I've had a good high. Do you think I will get a better trip if I drop acid by myself my first time and theres no one to snap me out of whatever I'm doing? Or will having my two best friends try it with me make it better?
i was the same age the first time i managed to find some. i wasn't entirely alone, but for much of the peak and the next 8 hours or so i was by myself. let me first say that this isn't some mickey mouse 'thing to do'. there is no similarity between marijuana and lsd, except the conventional nomenclature classify both as hallucinogens. It's going to be Very very different. That said, i would recommend having a friend along, whether they are doing it also or not. whether you're all tripping or just one or two others doesn't matter much...keep it to a hit or a hit and a half to introduce yourselves, and remember it's going to take a while, but it's also going to stop...but you'll never forget it
i would say do it with your friends deffinatly. lsd has a clear headed feeling, very clear, but when you try to communicate or do somthing you realise it all gets messed up. whereas marijuana gives you the cloudiest mind, filled with paranoia. lsd is much, much more deeply psychological than marijuana, even if you take a dose that doesnt induce hallucinations. trust me, tripping in your room on lsd alone is gonna be a hell of a lot differnt than weed. lsd can get reallly overwhelming, and really intense. it can get deeply scary, so scary you become psychologicaly scared, get flashbacks and post traumatic stress. it can get insanely happy too. but if it gets deeply scary in your room in the dark, its no fun. i did it in my room in the dark, and it wasnt all happy all the time at all. iv had much better experiences with my friends exploring things and doing crazy stuff and having heaps of fun that way.
Tripping is a lot more fun with your friends, but every once in a while its nice to trip alone just to sit and think about things without any interuptions. I'm prolly gonna eat a few hits by myself in a couple days but if its you're first time its prolly better to have friends with you. If you are gonna trip alone just remember not to eat more lsd than you can handle.
Its not like weed no. LSD is a psychedelic, in the sense that you get mostly visual effects. As in.. colours, patterns, movings of objects that can't move. Mentally its not like weed either because LSD gives a bit of energy. The laughing moments are somewhat similair though, you can laugh a lot on both. And.. its more fun to trip with friends. Its just good to have friends there. Its fun to be social on LSD, and friends can support you if you're having a hard time.
The feeling is beautiful. Have it with friends. So many different people so many different minds so many different toughts about one subject. Sharing experience with other people can actually show you that there are many ways of looking into one thing and maybe you were pretty much stuck with your idea. And energy created with more people is definitly better than from only one person.
You need to do it with people your first time. Find someone who has done it, because then they can help you accept it and have more fun. besides, if it's your first physcedelic, you don't know how you'll react, oh, and always have a sober person there to drive you around, because damn, thats fun. lol
although tripping alone can be a wonderful experience and is not always difficult like some say i would still suggest that for your first trip you trip with friends. you can still go off and be by yourself for some of the trip if you like to see what that is like. LSD is a big wonderful and possibly scary place - it is better to go with friends to test the waters before you consider that tripping alone might be a good idea. that way if you start to feel uncomfortable or that you dont like what is happening at least you have someone doing it with you who you can talk to. the only time i would say that tripping alone would be good for the first time is if the person was very experienced with meditation and they have done a lot of research on the effects of LSD. otherwise tripping alone is best left for the experienced tripper.
very good suggestion from thealicerabbit there: have someone that can take you on a ride....you'll be astounded. i didn't say much about the effects because the discovery is your own. it is very energetic, and you'll be much better off sharing it. to me and my bunch it was all so damn funny, but so open and you'll find it'll bond you in ways...i tripped last saturday with the same friend i'd started tripping with 20 years ago. you'll all be far more comfortable that way...but remember...TIME...hours and hours..not get high and sit a while and go home...cover your bum, lol
