Ok so i live in houston and ive recently found a good field for shroomin. Now my question is how do i tell what mushrooms are good because i heard this kid in my class talkin about tappin the caps of the shrooms to see if there good or something like that idk i didnt really know what he was talking about. Also once i pick them is it ok to just leave them in my closet to dry out and once dryed just put in a tupaware becuase im gunna keep all of them for me i have no desire to sell all for personal use.

Your friend might have been talking about a sporeprint. Take a mature cap and lay it gills down on a sheet of paper. Some hours later spores will have accumulated on the sheet. Color should be brownish purple. Be safe.
