Just when I thought I'd seen the last of that buggy site' now when I want to download a torrent I get Limewire wanting to track it-No thanks-
I quit Limewire because of the virus's and bogus files and now they are injecting themselves in the bit torrent clients. Until they can screen out all the bad ' corrupt files they distribute' there is no way I want to use them to track my downloads.

Yea Adderall-I made the mistake of loading Limewire this week just to get a few audio tracks and after that I opened Mininova to get some videos. The file opened and it said that this is a Limewire torrent!-I thought what TF!-So' I checked online at the torrent forum and it said they are now supporting torrent sites.

I tried every way to use my usual tracker' Bittornado' to track and it wouldn't let me open the file-only Limeliar could open it. The way around it is to completely remove the Limeliar program from add/remove and from the program files on the hard drive. Then reboot and you can use your own tracker again-better yet-never install that stupid thing-they pack nothing but bugs and bogus corrupt files. Hollywierd must be payin people to sabotage their files-just way too many fakes.

I use limewire. I don't download anything I think would have a worm. I just don't want to get sued for piracy.

Peer Guardian rocks. I use it to block everything on that list of options. I wonder how safe it would be to rely on it when trying to block a university you attend from checking your computer for pirated files?

Trekker-your chances of being caught are much greater with Limeliar then with Bit Torrent.-One reason is that the legality of downloading individual torrents vs. the entire file through Limewire server -Pirate Bay has gone head to head with all the big dogs and is still going strong. It is not illegal to download torrents-it is illegal to download an entire file -the torrent sites are safe but Limewire is scrambling to stay one step ahead of the law. They just started supporting torrent sites. An indication they want the safety factor that Pirate Bay has-living in Sweden is a big help lol!--I just pulled this from Torrent Freak forum-"Recent findings by researchers from the University of California, Riverside, show that 15% of the IPs people connect to on the Gnutella P2P network are blocked by blocklist applications such as PeerGuardian. Statistics like this do not prove anything about the effectiveness of these lists, however, according to an insider who worked for several anti-piracy organizations, blocklists significantly decrease the risk of getting caught by the MPAA or RIAA."--get Peer Gaurdian! and keep a clean HD. --I think this could be solved if the P2P sites would "donate" some bucks to the industry. It would not bother me to pay a small user fee to download-I think most people in this country would love to be able to get all their movies and music online rather then standing in a long ass line at Walmart. There is a solution' but I'm sure gread is getting in the way of resolving this battle. An actor who once washed dishes for a living then is suddenly making 20 million dollars for 1 picture forgets his or her past. There is alot of people in this world with famlies and just don't have the money for entertainment. When people have music and movies to eliviate stress' their mellow-take it away and we go to war -some more!lol

If I have to pay for my downloads, they better be top notch shit. But I wouldn't pay anyway cause I'm a broke college student.

The US gov't is trying to tax the Internet now. WTF are they gonna do, tax the entire world?

If possible-I'm sure they would love to figure in some kind of tax for the internet-if file sharing gets shut down' they will have to close librarys as well-thats file sharing and in my local library they have alot of DVDS to loan out-how is that any different then P2P?
