If THC is such a terrible thing, then why can we buy the stuff in pill form? isnt that just a little F***ing rediculous that theyve spend many years making marijuana seem like the terrible drug its known as today in the public eye, but can still sell a little bottle containing pills with high amounts of the very chemicle that makes it so controversial. They both do the same thing except, one gets you insanely high in one dose, and one enables you to stop whenver you want. if you look this up, there are claims that the sesame oil in marinol is far more toxic than THC. what the hell?
Marinol is a synthetic THC and is used as an appitite stimulant, I believe. I don't think it gets you high at all either.
sure it gets u high but it isa synthetic, anytime u step away from the natural state, u lose some of the effectiveness & add unwanted side effects
Marinol is complete hipocrisy. Raw cannabis is a schedule 1 drug which means there are no recognized medical uses. Marinol is schedule 3. Obviously cannabinoids have clinical use as most of stoners know from personal experience, and the FDA approved marinol. But their argument against raw cannabis is the tar and other health risks from smoking it. While completely ignoring the studies that prove how safe and efficient vaporization is for delivering raw cannabis. So they recognize the molecule as being medically efficacious, yet cage people for using it in its natural form because one of the delivery methods can be harmful. Complete fascist, hypocritical bullshit. Marinol gets people extreeeemely ripped. If you think about it in terms of bud, sativas are more heady, spacey, and psychedelic. Indicas are more calming, sedating. Sativas have a higher THC to CBD ratio. CBD is another psychoactive compound in cannabis that has been shown clinically to have antipsychotic and antianxiety properties. Nature designed the plant to have many active molecules that work synergistically, and what we did as humans is isolate the strongest and most predominant single cannabinoid in the plant, synthesize it, manufacture it, and market it in pills - THC. So many people that are prescribed marinol complain of being extremely high, panic, anxiety since there is no CBD to counteract the THC, and also don't receive the same pain-relief and anti-inflammatory benefits as whole plant cannabis. Not to mention marinol is so expensive most people can't afford it. So they end up going to the black market or growing their own illegally anyway.
