Is it ok or not? I used the backcombing method and it has been a month and i decided to backcomb all of them over to.
Yeah, if it's backcombed in it should be fine if you just give it time. In the beginning I would rebackcomb if one fell way out, but if they're just a little lose don't worry about it.
Did you use a metal comb? I don't understand how it could never work... it was such a painful process it MUST be working hehehe
yep, we used flea combs. they fell out every time. finally i dyed my hair and separated the dreads and left them alone, and they are slowly knotting up.
I wouldn't do that if your hair has already a locked up structure. If you rebackcomb you loose all the hair that's already locked up. If it's all loose hair it's no problem to rebackcomb.
the locks I double back combed and then wrapped in wool during the first month turned out very well. The ones I didn't, or ones that belonged to certain parts of my head (like the neck line) just fell out. I did notice that with the doing the back combing twice there was a good deal of stress on the scalp and some root rippage that had me a little concerned for a while, but it's all worked itself out.
I backcombed and it worked a treat! I crochet my hair now and it looks the best it ever has-bloody hurts though!
doesn't all that backcombing wreak havoc on your hair? I would think it'd make my hair so weak and fragile causing breakage and hair loss in the future. But my hair is pretty delicate.
Thanks for the help everyone im pretty sure they are all doing good but there are a few in the back that are coming all the way out i think im just going to let them form natural. There are also hairs that have come out of my dreads but i thik its normal im just going to let them form natural now its been a month and a half THANKS
