is there anywhere I can buy wax, that can be used for dreads. not off the internet? or any similar alternatives?

its just i can't buy stuff of the internet.

Also, is it possible to dread all my hair myself? or is this just stupid. bear in mind my hair is not overly long.

wax hating is ok, answers would be nice too lol

    thanks girls and guys

we have Ernie Novembers around here.. not sure what you might have
Walmarts carry dread wax too... or so somebody told me
but if I might suggest.. do NOT use wax on your hair
it's entirely your choice but from my experience as I am sure is the case with quite a few others on this board, wax is horrible for your hair.. it might help hold the shape for a little while but it sits in the center of your dreads and can mold and cause them to fall out... back combing is probably the best thing for a quick dreads but even that will only help so much... just keep your hair clean and don't add any conditioners and time will be the key to beautiful dreads... I hope this helps you
    good luck

o and yea my hairs were quite short when I dreaded them.. myself ;)

use pure aloe vera gel, it doesn't make permenent lodging in your hair and it smells good

hmm I would steer clear from wax mate, it builds up, leaves your hair all slimey and smelly and never comes out! Why not try clay?

It really will only hinder your dreads.. sure they'll look tidy and the frizzies will be all nice and kept down. But you can do the same thing with aloe, and aloe is water soluable unlike wax :) so you can get it out alot easier. Your dreads your choice at the end of the day, so if you do use it, use very sparringly..
