I have a few plants that I'm hoping to get a bit of a harvest out of this year. I was wondering if it is possible for me to harvest parts of the plants besides the buds before I'm ready to fully harvest. I'd just like to be able to be smoking my own weed ASAP.
Why not just wait for your buds to grow? It'll be worth the wait.. But what you can do is once the plant has grown abit and you start to see buds, trim the bush and use the cuttings to make hash
One thing you can do is put a paper bag over part of the plant for 16-18 hours a day. It will speed up the budding process due to the longer dark period. Pick a bud off when its nice and crystally and fresh. Let it dry out by a window for a day or so and wa lah! DANK!
Actually, you can harvest the fan leaves as they turn yellow if you are really desperate ... and I usually am about a month b4 harvest time.
I believe they are referring to the harm it does to the plant. The fan leaves provide the energy for a nice vigorous plant which = more fun in the end. It is worth waiting.
I know what you mean...lol...I always sample the plants, starting 1 week before they are to be harvested...mainly to judge the early buzz...
