After having had the extreme luck of living in many different coutries, seeing the world and filling my head with culture, being back in my home country makes me look at it... from a different point of view. I can now see what's wrong with it (and what's great about it too) better... like... when you live in a place and never move you tend to be buyist or not realize things... you know what I mean? Or you can but... not as well. Really. I have been in France the longest in years, for the first time, over 4 months in maybe... 8 years. And wow... now do I realize I wouldn't wanna stay in this country forever. Or... couldn't live here now anyway. Couldn't live in one place forever whatever country it is anyway... I just couldn't close myself to the world like that... not after what I've been used to since I was a baby. Some people unfortunately CAN'T move, ever, it's expensive... some would wanna... some don't care... and honestly I can't understand that, to be so close-minded. But... yeah to come back to my title, I think the French, in general (always with exceptions, of course), are mean. They are chauvinistic, and full-of-themselves, impossible to impress, always something to critique, blunt, rarely smile, and "pfffft" here and "heh" there and "you're going to study ABROAD???? WHY????" and they drive like psychos and they look at you like you're a piece of shit and they complain, all the time, never happy with what they've got, during debates, they verbally murder each other, with a look in their eyes, they can kill, poor blood... the spirit of the 1789 revolution, the cutting of heads, hatred of the rich, power of the masses still is strong... OK I'm exagerating a bit... but seriously... after having lived in other friendlier countries like the United States, I can see that... in a lot of people.

The other day, I was on a forum, online, a French forum. Hadn't been to one ever, except THIS French forum, on Hip Forums. Well people were so different. Arguing, making fun of other people's opinions. I read French critiques. Oh my god. If you're an artist, you better be amazing if you plan to be shown/heard/read/whatever in France. French critiques are the worst.

Well there's good sides to France too. But being French I don't wanna "throw flowers at myself" as we say in France. And all this I'm critiquing (see, the French in me, critiquing always) are stereotypes... but still...

I hope I'm not like that. I know there's some typically French things about me... like being opiniated and critical, stubborn, sophisticated, hard to get, hard to please, hard to impress... but I've been trying lately not to be soooo "harsh" and not to be so... well pretty much anything bad... I think having lived in so many different countries is a good thing. It made me more open, and I am able to realize all these things. I can pick-up the best stereotypes from each place I've lived, avoid all the bad ones... and be a sort of unique individual.

My mom's from the south of France, and every time I've ever visited my mom's side of the family there, everyone that I've ever met (family or otherwise, usually otherwise) have been the nicest people I've ever met.

To each their own, I suppose.

Of course, not everyone is stereotypically, negatively French, but unfortunately, I've only been around that lately... or maybe I just have become too cynical and see bad everywhere.

Which doesn't meant I'm not positive, either. I just wanna avoid everything negative... but avoiding it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. *sighs* I think too much. I need to get myself busy that's what I need to do.

Reminds me, my Mom despises the French. It kinda pisses her off buying something that was made in France on accident. haha

She bought some Joker rolling papers one time, which she loved, until she seen they said "made in France". She was pretty mad about that, and declared she wouldn't buy those again. haha Ah, silly woman. I love her though.

Yeah man, you go for it. I don't really plan on quitting anytime soon, I love smoking.

But now would be a good time if I were to quit. I'm broke, and I'm running out of rolling tobacco.

I'll just sell a kidney or something. :D

I love smoking too... but it makes my skin ugly, make me look older, and tired, it stinks on my hands and hair and clothes, is expensive, and I started coughing... like an old person... ugh

Penny, how on earth did you impose that avatar pic so perfectly?

It looks like you're biting your own lip. It's awesome.
