During my pregnancy I developed a nickel allergy, and can no longer wear my wedding band. Luckily it is just a plain gold wedding band, nothing with huge jewels! My husband would like to buy me a new wedding band, one made from something natural that won't irritate my skin ( i have a lot of man-made allergies) I've been looking on ebay and etsy, and can't really find anything I like. Do any of you know a company, supplier, creative person, who makes rings from bone, shell, or anything else natural and lasting? Am open to material suggestions!
check this thread out: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=72393 a couple links worth seeing there.
My mother in law can't wear her gold wedding band either due to metal allergies...but she can wear silver. Maybe you could find a really nice silver ring?
After much searching, I found a plain hardwood band in my ring size on ebay. Also found a coconut ring in my size on ebay that will be shipped to me from Hong Kong. I bought both, as they were about $5 a piece. I thought about silver, but I am really really pale skinned, and silver tends to wash me out. Also, am just not all that into metal jewlery in the first place, so I think that the wood will suit me more! Thanks for the input though, and drumminmama, that site is pretty nifty!
