we're sitting in class watching channel one (if you dont know what that is cause i dont really know where it is, its basically like a short news show) and they were showing these kids and their political opinions, and one girl hugged a tree and they all shouted out "tree hugger! eeew!" and started making fun of her, they're so obnoxious about everything...... i try not to let it bother me, but when everybody's making fun of the guy in life is beautiful because he told a woman he wanted to make love to her, it's hard to concentrate
I survived with only a few broken noses....my high school sucked though, it was very cliquey, and all of the teachers and parents worshipped the athletes who were busy smoking crack and beating up on the rest of the population.... We had lots of racial fighting too Idid learn a lot...............about football because thats what the teachers talked about for the first half of every class.
That's how it was in my last school....and then one before that too. But anyways, homeschooling is fucking awesome. No bullshit to deal with, and time fucking flies by. Ill be in California in no time :H
They probably don't even know what a tree-hugger really is, apart from the literal interpretation. They've heard the term and that it's apparently a bad thing to do. Put it down to youthful ignorance.
Aye, I know what you mean. Apparently though, the trend at my school last year was to wear 'Tree Hugger' shirts. I asked on girl if she was one, and she said "It's just a cute shirt." Too bad really. Hey Sage, wanna know a secret? (scroll down) I LOVE YOU! Thought that might make you smile.
I disagree. High School is what you make off it. I personaly love school, I take the best out of it. I have literaly hundreds of friends there, everyone respects me, I have achieved a position of complete respect and friendship. Last time I've ever had a problem with a classmate was a year ago, and I solved it (Just a silly fist-fight). School can also be very intellectualy stimulating if you look for the stimulating. About the idiots in the school, well, I also influence them by my ideas which i impose on them and my positive example.
Actually I agree with you, I was just trying to make flower feel better. I had a great time in High School, I was friends with everyone, I was on track and got second in regionals, went to lots of parties, and I even learned some stuff. My senior year I had one hour and a half class in the morning one day, and the other day (block scheduling) I had a class at 11, lunch, then one more class, and was done by two. High School was pretty awesome. I don't think I influenced the idiots though... but I ignored their idiot sides and could still have some fun I guess.
I'm glad that you agree. I think that influencing people is a very important aspect of life, one of the reasons for which one of my ideas for a major is high school education (even though I'm starting to doubt it, because I know that I am capable of much more). I want and need to affect people, and change the world into what would be my stereotype of near perfection
i agree with all of you i used to be bothered by what others said but i dont any more and im better for it im in my last year and it is awsome i would just ignore the dumb comments and if they still bother you just think only one more year
I love high school... just because I can... It's freedom though. I just love to work. Today during PE I managed to convince 3 people to dance with me to the radio the coach put out... then more people started dancing... That's a side of me people seldom see... Today was strange.
my school is pretty good, its small and their arent cliques which is good. excpet we have alot of close minded republcans who think their they shit.
