duvel is pretty good, but i'm not as often in the mood for it as a lot of other belgians.

right now i'm drinking a glass of maudite, a belgian style dubble from canada, bye unibroue, and while i dont have a unibroue glass i'm drinking it from a delirium tremens glass which is close enough to the intended shape to do the trick. delicious, i havent had it in a while...i usually go with the don de dieu, la fin du monde, blanche de chambly or trois pistoles

belgium has a lot of great beers unique to belgian styles that many people are unaware of. what many more people are unaware of is that many other countries produce some good belgian-style beers, not just german or english styles

much love for belgian beer, though.

before this i had two shots of appleton estate v/x rum.

after this i've got a 500ml bottle of weihenstephaner original

 

Tonight I am drinking Sierra Nevada Porter. It is very good

first time i had it i think i drank 5 or 6 and watched lawrence of arabia

 

I think its negra because it refers to cerveza, which is feminine. Modelo is the brand. This is something that bothered me until I went to mexico and realized all dark beers are negra.

 

I am drinking Storm King Imperial Stout tonight from the excellent Victory Brewing Company.

 

milwaukees beast,,,taste alot better than budlight in the can which I think the metal is more noticable. The grains hide the flavor much like a micro-brew would.

 

Three 24 cases of Yeung and 4 six-packs of Hurricane. Getting cans, because nothing sucks more than having bottle caps everywhere you have to pick up. Also some jack and coke to get started.

Oh yeah, I'll be with about 7-8 people. Only a couple drinkers though.

 

Whiskey and beer... speaking of which, does anyone know what that delicious drink is called?
