    Hey all,
I think I might finally have my yeastinfection under controll (yoghurt! and garlic as we speak).. But now I've been wondering if maybe my bf has got it too and will keep on giving it back to me? What to do with male yeast infections? And how will we know he has one?
Also, I'm using the NuvaRing (anticonception ring) and wonder if using anything a bit more harsh such as garlic or tea tree oil would do damage to the ring? I took it out yesterday so no worries for now but I think it might be the ring that caused the infection so I'm afraid it might come back once I put a new one in..
    Ok thanks!!

I have never had to deal with a yeast infection myself. From what I have read the penis is not a very ideal place for yeast to live and grow like it is for a woman's counterpart. Unless he is experiencing symptoms or you keep getting it back he is probably fine. If he needs to treat it, I think the suggestion from the link about using a cream along with some vinegar is probably the best option for a man. Vinegar is suppose to work really well treating yeast infections. I don't think the link is right when it says that straight vinegar will eat through skin, but it will probably irritate it and cause a burning sensation. So I would not put straight vinegar on sensitive areas. Either mix it with water or a cream.
