Ah, yes....the Anita Blake series is great. I ran across her books because I am a huge fan of vampire fiction, and I've been reading them whenever I feel the urge of guilty pleasures. Her novels are erotic, exciting, intense and quite funny. She's worth a read...

*sigh* I liked her stuff a lot more before it became plotless erotica. Ie the start of the Anita Blake series. I haven't run across anyone with similar erotica though.
I agree that both the Anita Blake and Merry Gentry series of books have degraded into plotless orgies. Erotica should be sexy - these books have become rather gross. The sex scenes are written quite well (though I prefer the ones in the Merry Gentry series) but there are too many of them and, while I don't think one must exactly like a protagonist, I have a difficult time with ... not the copious amounts of copulation ... but with the lack of self control and discernment. Anita and Merry seem to be ruled by their glands. However, it is cool to see a mainstream series of popular fiction in which BDSM is the norm rather than the exception.

I have to say she is the best author I can think of right now, I'm actually reading one of her books right now, finished some others a while back. I'd have to say my favorite was Mistrel's last kiss. It was purely amazing.
