whos seen it? i just rented it a few days ago, i thought it was pretty sweet. i think it could have been funnier, but i am definitely impressed by judd apatows style... he really likes to bring the funny in his movies. plus seth rogen is shaping up to be one of my favorite actors, and hes a stoner and tends to play stoner characters, so thats a big plus. anyways, what did you guys think of it? anyone checked out the deleted scenes? the deleted scenes are all pretty much grade-A shit... cant imagine why they chose to delete some of them. discuss?
I really love the style of comedy it's like, real life funny (superbad is a similar style and is way better though) I loved it the first time I saw it, not so much the second good movie, not a great one though
^ yeah man i def agree. judd apatow has pretty much nailed my preference in comedy with those two movies, and hes got a fuckin all star line-up workin with him (jonah hill, rogen, bill hader etc) however i actually thought it was funnier the second time. i dunno, i think it rewards repeated viewings... this may be biased, as the second time i watched it i was incredibly baked lol. have you checked out the deleted/extended scenes?
^ if you ever get the chance, check out the bonus material... pretty good shit. even the commentary was halfway decent, and i never listen to the commentaries.
I liked Paul Rudd's impression of Robert DeNiro. and that argument about Steely Dan was funny. in fact, I thought all the funniest lines were the asides, and not so much jokes central to the plot.
i thought it was really really funny, although mostly every movie with seth rogen in it is usualy really funny anyways. i like the way he acts, its so real lol (if i can say that about acting)

I watched it last night. I thought it was alright (I prefer The 40 Year Old Virgin though.) I thought when they were trippin on shrooms was funny especially when the husband kept changing the chairs and the vibes he was getting from them. Oh and saving the bong during the earthquake was priceless.
hahah hell yeah. "what you want me to quit smoking pot cuz theres an earthquake once every 10 years? now your being irrational... lets just stay calm..... FUCK COPS!" haha such a classic scene.
that is exactly what i was thinking when I left the theatre after first seeing it. But once it came on video I rented it again and now it's one of my favorite movies. And yes this movie is better stoned, but honestly any movie is better if your high. life is better if your high.
