Is there anybody out there that was at the Atlanta pop Festival 1970?

It was a very good year. Now THAT was a party! Hendirx was there and died a few months later. Then I went into the army and really lost my innocense.

 

Hi! Indeed I was! I don't recall much...it was in Peach County,Byron,GA.Folks were camping in pecan groves,we had blankets on site,against a white wall/fence.That was my very,first,festival! I was a sweet,young,thing then & all those local BUBBAS oggling 'them nekkid gals' at the river spooked me!!! There were tons of people there! It was hot,hot,hot! Hendrix played the Star Spangled Banner in the evening ,Grand Funk was there.Like I said,I was high and don't recall much!HA! Festivals and concerts were plentiful and cheap back then! It was a great time to be young!!! (That is if you weren't being used for war bait! Thank you!)

 

Iwas there great festival reacently found 3 hendrix vidios on e donkey and the allman brothers cd from the festival .after that festival we went to one in love valley nc.

 

yes i ws there with 5 of my friends from cleveland ohio.. we got there 3 days early.. wowo what a great memory.. never forget,, cept can't remember everyone who played there..lol.. we found an abandoned mansion and stayed outside .. swam in the river all day.. sunset we went to the festival area.. was a nother free festival... wwowo

 

We went up there in an old milk truck from clearwater.Remember the river,crashing the gate,hendrix,and the od tent.

 

my gf lynette had her bd july 4 so we decided to surprise her with an announcemnet from the stage.. we got to stage and gave the info to someone.. well surprise surprise jimi hendrix gets on stage and b4 he played anthem..he yells happy birthday lynetteeeee..blew us awaayyy
