Erg noor is an amazing German band. They play really epic, dramatic music, rich in majestic beauty. Its death/doom aparently, but I would classify it as progressive, slighltly electronic metal/rock. This band would definatley appeal to progressive rock fans, as well as doom metal and melodic metal fans. Its has some brilliant, slow, moving guitar solos and some awsome keyboards too. Its mostly instumental but has occasional vocals- mostly clean German vocals. And... Hm, a doom-obsessed friend once recommended them to me, but I still never paid them much attention. Now listening to The Wings and the Chains from the Kosmos album and it's GOOD. Should have listened to the guy the first time around. Thanks for the tip!
