I saw Dj Champion live last night. I didnt know who he was or what was it about, the name made me think oh well a Dj. But it was the coolest thing I've seen in a while... yes, he is a dj but he has a band that's called the G-Strings and it's 4 guitars and a bass, and the singer who had such a great powerful voice. She sang in English and French and a mysterious language that Im thinking it was Russian, but Im not sure. It was just really fun and interesting to see how they work together, Dj Champion is like the conductor of his orchestra and you can see him directing what everyone is doing and they are all so into it, just such a great energy. Also they started the show by playing with Nintendo Ds and as Dj Champion sampled what they were doing they each on their own time passed to their instruments. A total trip... It was just a very interesting combination and approach into making music. Very creative and trippy and fun and everyone was having a blast. I usually do that go to concerts without having any idea what Im going to hear is kinda risky and refreshing at the same time, but is always fun when it turns to be a good surprise.
Infected Mushroom has live instruments like that as well. It's really neat to watch them compile the different voices, and still have that wicked electronic sound. I saw them about a month ago. It was amazing. Me and my friends were like in their van with them, but then we realized there were too many of us to all go party with them, so we all had to get out. Haha.
