how to extract DXM from cough syrup?

Dude you DO NOT have to extract the DXM from cough syrup if what your looking for is "pure DXM." They sell these little gel-caps in the Cough/Cold section of your pharmacy or grocery store called Robotussin 8hour gelcap or something like that, basically each gelcap has 15mgs DXM with no other ingredients.
