Where I live, you have only like 3 or 4 months in year when you can actually try to go barefoot, because the other 8-9 months it is lower than ~12 centigrade. You cannot really walk barefoot 24/7 when you have to wear like a coat'n'stuff Or can you?
Just go in bare feet and see how it is. If you don't like it or it's too cold for your baby feet then put your damn socks on.
12C isn't that cold. Dry pavement or cement in the winter sometimes feels warm if the sun is out, even if it's 0C. Wear a coat and cap to keep as much heat as possible inside you. Check the bottoms of your toes once in a while to make sure they are still pink. My feet actually feel warm as long as it's not below freezing when I'm on pavement. The friction on the skin has a way of warming the feet. Cold wet terrain is worse, especially grass. It makes my feet numb.
yeah, i sure can, when it's -15 centigrade here in winter! The feet hurt from the cold even in boots sometimes barefoot would mean certain death
