When my oldest dog Sundance was 12 months old he impregnated the neighbors dog and we were given one of the pups. We could not properly take care of two dogs at the time so I placed a free to good home add in the local newspaper. Because Sundance was a big boy most of the replies to the add were from people looking for a security dog to protect their stuff. Eventually a lady in a junky van showed up to take a look at the pup and she eventually told me if I gave her the pup she would name it Wish because she had been wishing for something to help change her life. After I did a little prying I found out she had been working on kicking a coke addiction for the last year and a half and she was living on a small piece of property in her junky van in the country. She also told me that she needed a good dog to help keep the hounds away - that showed up at her place at night to temp her with a line or two so they could get lucky. I gave her the pup in a heartbeat and now a days that lady has most of the window washing contracts in the down town area and whenever she see’s me coming she say’s to Wish and Wishes son – here comes grandpa. Cheers!
