    This is pretty scary:

So what do you think? Is it for Islamic terrorists? Anti-War protests? Energy Crisis?

Personally I think it's mainly for the latter two. How is a military force supposed to prevent a terrorist attack within America?

i note the sceduled exercises include localized civilian participation . this stinks it up as a propaganda opportunity . the govt advances its agenda of authoritarianism . yes , they imply , you shall always and extremely be very afraid and we will save you .

"...the military could also be used to shunt anti-war opposition within the US."

Sounds like government protection against a US revolution to me.

If terrorism existed in the way they want us to believe it does, there are ways they could prevent it. One way would be to close off the borders. That would go against their agenda, though, as they want the borders open because they plan to intergrate the US with Mexico and Canada as part of a unification process modeled after the EU. The fact is, most terrorism is state-sponsored and state-orchestrated, and the story we have been sold about Islamic extremism serves only to scare the public so they will accept whatever "solutions" the government offers.

Anti-war protesters don't pose much of a threat to the establishment since they control much of this movement, and the notion of an energy crisis is just more government propaganda that's been indoctrinated into us by the media, so the public will be willing to allow more control to the government.

If anything, they are preparing for a situation that would entail mass civil unrest. For instance, if (or should I say when) they collapse the economy. Or in the event a virus or plague is released, which I have no doubt they plan on releasing in the future. So they need to conduct drills so they can practice controlling and rounding up people as they bring in this new system that has been well documented.

These drills are really nothing new, though this is certainly one of the bigger ones, and none of the reasons for this drill will be the reasons they give us. It has nothing to do with foreign terrorism, peak oil, left wing protesters, etc..

    Terrorism is an urban legend.
Anti War protesters have lost their potency, and become nothing but a underfunded group of pseudo-idealists with a thin grasp at best on the issues they're protesting.

The drills are preparation for future martial law police-state environments.

I do find this extremely scary and unconstitutional:

    Congressional recourse:

    And this is even scarier:

I wonder where this crop of presidential candidates are on this issue? They appear to be complicit by their total lack of response.

Actually I think all the fuss they made about Moveon.org's ad, proves where they stand... right behind Cheney and company.
