Arkansas is just quiet. And a bit dull. The land is beautiful and there is still plenty of nature to explore, but I haven't really found any kindered spirits and I have been here a little while.
yeh iam finding this out big difference from the east but maybe i"just hoping for a few to just hangout and enjoy life the way it was meant to be.
Well, we mostly just keep to ourselves here. I'm not entirely sure where Clinton is, but I am in the northwest part of the state. Fayetteville is an interesting town. Mostly college kids, though. Makes us feel a bit old. Eureka Springs is interesting, too. Mostly tourists, though. It seems easier to just enjoy the mountains and the fresh air.
Quiet and a tad dull indeed. But yes, lots and lots of amazing nature, great seasonal weather, and cheap tobacco. Lots of positives too. Arkansas is a pretty chill place.
Fayetteville is a pretty cool place. We lived there for a while before we bought our house a bit north. We still head down there every couple of weeks to go to Ozark Natural Foods or some of the funky shops. Been to Good Folk yet?
We are S of Harrison about 15 miles. Went to Louisiana for the holidays. Was so glad to get back to the Ozarks, I cried when we saw the first big tree covered mountain (with no billboards cluttering up the view) on the way back. Oh yeah, Ozarks Natural Foods ... there's a guy there who makes natural kefir.
I'm from the northwestern part of the state.. I live out in the middle of nowhere.. close to the Missouri border... I live about an hour from Harrison give or take a few! I used to go to NACC. Hehe.. I love living out in the middle of nowhere.. It's just you and nature. It's great. The Ozarks are great. =D
When temp goes over 60-F, out come the bane of the Ozarks: and that is CHIGGERS. But, right now is great.
