Weed. A lifestyle?

I am asking if weed is a major part of who you are.

i know many responsible, respectable adults who smoke weed on a daily basis brotha... weed being something that young kids do with their friends so they can laugh and eat a lot is just a stereotype.

people can live a good life and smoke pot, without being immature, or losing their job/blowing all their money on dope.

back on point; FUCK YES weed is my lifestyle.

a PART of my lifestyle, i should say. cause there is a lot more to it than just getting high, though getting high is also a big part of it lol. of course it can be considered a lifestyle. i just think it enhances every situation, thus making my life more interesting and enjoyable. it gives me something to look forward to at the end of the day, and i can still function and think perfectly well, and enjoy the fuck out of life, and appreciate things more... all with very little, to no serious health risks. (i smoke it, but am fully aware there are healthier alternatives available)

if its not impacting me negatively at all, why would i stop smoking it? it really is the best medicine. it makes everything better, it enhances everything.... i just fuckin love mary jane so much, shes my darling

 

I find it funny how people can watch TV compulsively and it's not considered a serious disorder yet if someone smokes pot everyday it's suddenly this horrible addiction.

I think pot is great and I don't judge people regardless of how much they smoke. If they can afford to get high every day, alright for them! Even if they are psychologically addicted, I can't think of a better substance or pastime to be addicted to. Something that makes you mellow, nonviolent, and introspective. Hmm, sounds a lot like what this country needs in great abundance.

i could care less if everyone suddenly decides to say "ya know what? i aint doin SHIT but growin/smokin/sellin this sweet herb" i would have total respect for them.

i think the only reason people would condemn the marijuana lifestyle, is because of the influence of health programs, our government, and any other drug-free propaganda bullshit we've been fed our whole lives.

if you try to see the world free of the influence of society and government, sitting around smokin weed all day would seem like a completely rational, and damn good idea. people are conditioned to think in certain ways, and most people just blindly accept what they are told.

to say you have to grow up at some point and move on from this lifestyle is pretty ridiculous... the only reason this is an unacceptable lifestyle for most people is because thats what they have been told. smoking weed will make you became a big fat nothing... so if people wanna live a lifestyle that involves nothing but weed; more fucking power to them.

this government has really never done shit for me, and pretty much stands for everything i oppose. in no fucking way, shape or form, do i want to contribute to this bullshit and help these motherfuckers. mary jane is a lifestyle, and its my lifestyle, simple as that.

 

Yeah, and the same goes for having a family. I wouldn't be a responsible parent right now, and I have no desire to be one. Maybe not ever! There are billions of people on this planet, and the population is growing exponentially so I'd rather just do my own thing than answer to some cultural calling to get straight and start a family.

well i smoke pot every day, a couple a times a day and i do for about 4 years or so Its like washing my teeth,its a casual everyday thing.

so i do what i can. i do my best, to be HAPPY, to live a fun (and semi-free) life. people act as if fufilling the agenda of the government, becoming rich and dumping heaps of money back into the country is the only lifestyle that is "responsible" and mature... thats ridiculous.

ill tell ya what, i give a lot more respect to the guy who grows a few plants outta his house and distributes to the community to make a decent living, as opposed to the mutli-millionaire CEO's of some of these companies... i dunno, its hard for me to find that honorable in any sense. the fact that so many people do just astonishes me...

ill do what i can to make myself happy, to not hurt others, and to just have fun in my time here. im not gonna dump so much time and money into trying to get a lifestyle where i can afford the newest model lexus every year... as long as im gettin by, as long as im HAPPY, i really dont give a fuck. marijuana makes me happy, it harms no one, and it encourages me to think and be creative. so yeah, im gonna smoke weed.

^ I agree, nothing crossed out, it can a good lifestyle. However, I can also see where jilla "you have to be an adult" is coming from. There are a bunch of kids that use weed as a superficial and transitory pleasure, only to be awakened to the grim reality that they are screwing themselves over (in turn causing them to smoke more weed). I'm not necessarily talking about neglecting one's usefulness to society. I'm talking about total neglect of rationally looking at one's (fleeting) life and deciding what they REALLY want to do. Pursue pleasure? Fine. Does smoking weed give you pleasure? Do it.

Really, it's not only sunshine and flowered fields. It can be a catalyst for aimlessness, escapism, etc., and a blanket for insecurity. Really cool people I know now sadden me.

For the record I do smoke weed on occasion.

yeah i totally agree.

but its different from person to person also. ive been smoking since i was 13, and i still grew up, i got a job, a car, pay for all my own shit, probably goin to college next year and whatnot... and its not like im using it to cope with some mental problems, im confident, im good with people, im intelligent...

but i do agree, some people start smoking, and get so caught up in it, they forget what living without it is... and they lack the traits of a "respectable" adult because they never cared to learn them, they just wanted to get high. i know people like that too man, and it is pretty sad.

on the flip-side, i guess they are doing what they like. like you said, if somebody wants to live life for pleasure, do it. some people just do it without realizing their actually fucking themself over, or pretending like they dont realize whats going on.... and that sucks, it does. but whatever, theres always gonna be people like that, i try to just ignore it and think they are doing what they CHOSE, and they are (hopefully) happy with it.

there is nothing wrong with a RESPONSIBLE lifestyle with marijuana. so long as you can maintain a life without the drug, and dont get too obsessed with it, its fine. and to say you gotta be older to use it responsibly is ridiculous- me, and most all my friends do.

My lifestyle is the one I have created for myself.

Weed, I use on the side for my relaxation from everyday life.. thats all. It plays a small, yet very effective role.

Weed is my stress relief. It's better than alcohol or other crazy ass drugs. I smoke after work and on weekends and such. As long as me and my daughter are supported, then weed ain't going nowhere. If I start to spend to much time smokin' and it affects my daily life, then i'll cut back. Until then, smoke on.
