what are your guys' favorite hand rolled tobacco brands that are available in most tobacco shops. I used to smoke cutters choice, but ive had trouble finding lately because the only store in my town stopped selling it. I like the nice shit that feels kinda moist and is in thin cutting, i dunno if yall know what i mean but not that dry ass shit like american spirits.

    alright cool, let me know
    thanks

I smoked Drum until Dowe-Egberts sold the name to an Americsan tobacco company and it became no better than Bugler here in the US. Now I smoke Jester or Samson, Jester more so since it is more popular up here and therefore usually fresher. Bali Shag isn't so bad either.

here, bali shag is more expensive then a pack of cigarettes. and that kinda defeats the point for me

Ive been smoking Port Royal for years. Its lots cheaper than tailor mades. $30 for 50g as opposed to $12 for 25

I think i had some Drum once, it was from the netherlands. Filthy on the hands but got rid of the craving.

Found a pack of the stuff at a festival, twisted on shrooms.

no, I pay 30 for 50g of tobacco and that lasts two weeks. Thats the going rate, keep in mind its in NZD, so would be about 8 or 9 USD. NZ has crazy taxes on tobacco and alcohol

i thought he meant 25g of tobacco, not 25 cigarettes. whatever

in my experience bali shag, gauloise, and american spirit offer good tobaccos for low cost compared to the rediculous taxes on tailor mades.

zig-zag actually has good tobacco, though, and if you like menthol their menthol is just about the best menthol tobacco i've had...hand rolled zig-zag menthols and marlboro milds are almost the only menthols i'd smoke when i was a regular cigarette smoker.

top, bugler, and kite are shit. drum is slightly better, but it used to be WAY better.

a nice treat sometimes is to add a small bit of a slightly/aromatic pipe tobacco in with the cigarette tobacco. at the tobacconist recently i purchased two 50 cent paper sample packets of macbarens scottish mixture....very nice, but burns a bit hot. the tobacco needs to be rubbed out into a more loose form, as it comes in compressed flakes stuck together...its hard to describe, but not unusual for many types of pipe tobacco. very tasty, and the two packets together only barely exceeded the capacity of my pipe (3g packets each, tobacco pipes are usually quite a lot bigger to pack than ganja pipes) so tonight i rolled up a cigarette with just that...nice, but burned a bit hot. a little cigarette tobacco added (about 50/50) would have been incredibly pleasant, for a cigarette

I'm smoking Bali Shag at the moment. Pretty good. So is Samson. I've tried the American Spirit rolling 'baccy and thought it was gross. With two packs of 1.25's the samson and bali shag cost me around 8 dollars. The american spirit was cheaper at around 6 or 7.
