    hi
I was curious as to how straterra interacts with specific drugs in a way that would prevent me from being able to take them safely. I have recently begun taking this medication for adhd because while adderall and concerta were fun for abuse, i felt zombified all day when i took them regularly.

I am planning on taking various drugs in the next month including ecstasy, acid, mad lorazepam, smokin weed, drinking and probably ketamine. I am most concerned about how it would interact with ecstasy and maybe K, which i NEED to take E on a few occasions because of a disco biscuits show on halloween (fuck yeah). Also, i cant just stop taking the stratera it for one day, because it stays in your system for a long time.

Strattera is similar in effects to ritalin, if I recall. As such, I would avoid taking other stimulants (E, speed, cocaine). I would also take lower dosages of the other drugs you plan on taking, until you know how the effects mix. Quite frankly, unless you need Strattera for school, I wouldn't take it at all.

no, straterras not a stimulant at all. It actually puts me to sleep. I know that it affects brain chemistry in a certain way that might have something bad happen when i take E. whatever im rolling tomorrow night for phil lesh and friends, so im not worried.

strattera claims to not be a stimulant...but for me it is highly and unpleasantly stimulating. reminds me of a cross between pseudoephedrine and methylhpenidate...not at all fun or pleasant....but definitely does get me wired up and jittery and such. i've got a bunch that i just wont take cause i dislike the effects so much.

however, if thats not the case with you, then i dont know whats up.

regardless i dont believe its something you need to take continuously for best results like you do with an ssri. an ssri will have little to no immediate effect but will have strong effects when taken regularly for a long period of time. i dont believe this is how strattera works as i felt effects immediately.

i would say you're best off to just not take it the day of, before, or after using drugs such as ketamine, ecstacy, acid, mushrooms, and so on, and to never drink while taking it - not that all those precautions are incredibly NECESSARY, because i dont know if they are. but it can't hurt, and as the saying goes its better to be safe than sorry
