I had a weird dream last night.

I was at the mall and it was almost time to close. I had very little money and couldn't buy anything. I then see my good friend shopping with two other girls who I have never met. They see me and say hi, but then continue walking. They step inside some weird futuristic elevator, where you can change the speed you want it to go down. I am about to join them but the doors close on my face. When it's my turn to go in, someone in the elevator decides to go really slowly down. Finally when we reach the bottom, I step outside and it is all dark. The three girls are hiding and then they scream out BOO!

Then I wake up, and I feel like crap because I think I just had a nightmare, I mean, who goes shopping with no money!!![IMG]

So yeah, could anyone help interpret my dream? Thanks [IMG]

    Hi mizz-scarlet

I thought this is about wanting to know what is yours, and what not. In the end, it is the search for a meaning (not just of this dream, but of your life). This is fully yours, but then it is what you make of it.

And maybe all you wanted to know is you do it on your very own speed ... with, or without the distractions.

    Just an idea.

many things in the dream world are constantly chainging. discouvering you have little or no cash on your person when you made the seemingly safe and probable assumption that you didn't start out without it, is not untypical. clearly this is an expression of insecurity, and that security is something your subconscous associats with money.

i think the usefull thing its telling you is that unexpected chainges do occur, not usually as alarmingly as all that in mundane life, but here they do, none the less occur too.

i think also it may be a warning, not to place so much of your feelings about security, dependent on symbolic value, or even human companionship. not that these are intrinsicaly bad things, just not reliable sources of security.

the only truely reliable source of is, when the incentives created by cultural values and their popular practice, are such as to not create conditions we have to feel insecure about.

there is tremendous irony in your feelings about money in this. and perhapse a measure of just how twisted ambient assumptions have become.
