I find it funny how people can smoke pot and drink endless amounts but god forbid you say you took a percocet or norco, people label you as a fucking junkie. Its ridiculous. Anybody who uses any type of drug and I mean ANY type of drug has no right to knock on opiate users. I could go around ranting to my friends about how they are killing their short-term memory and motivation by smoking pot but I don't, that's their business. It's common knowledge that opiates are not actually bad for your body. The only problem you run into is addiction and overdose, which can be avoided if you are responsible. I'm just sick and tired of being judged for taking the occasional painkiller.
Thats not entirely true. Although I used to love opiates, they do infact harm your body, notably the nurotransmitters in your brain. After long term opiate use your body stops the production of indeginous opiates, or endorphins. The user begins to feel shitty all the time, a state nown as anhedonia, and this can last for years. But taking a percocet is still probbaly better for your body that drinknig 10 beers or smopking pot four times a day.
I'd still rather smoke pot 4 times a day:spliff: But yeah, opiates are cool too, on occasion, and nobody has the right to judge anyone, for any reason....especially drugs. Hell, half of the stuff we put in our body everyday are worse for the body than most drugs, but people don't think about it, because they let the government tell them what they should and shouldn't do.
Of course you would rather smoke pot four times a day you are the top notch stoner. If you just smoked three times a day you would be a mediocre leve stoner Do you not hold the record for most Xanax bars taken in a single sitting?
Well think of social acceptance too, alcohol is actually LEGAL if you're 21, so to them, how can it be bad? Your no junky if you drink alcohol, you're no junky if you drink alcohol and you're an alcoholic, because society's just like that for some reason. Pot can have varying opinions, but it's mostly accepted. When it comes to opiates, some people can't control themselves, but same for lots of drugs and different people. I couldn't really tell you why, it's popping a pill vs drinking to some people. Fun vs Fix? I'm not sure. Opiates can be fun right?
I dont know Brian, can you match my 9,000 tombstones, snorted, in less than an hour? Because if you can, then you may take the record
RELAYER, congrats on kicking that that massive oc habit you had a few months back. You steeping up for yourself and your new family is truly an inspiration to the many on here who have drug problems. I hope the philadelphia junky's will follow suit and clean up like you have.
Two opitate questions for anyone that knows the answer: 1. If I took my daily 8mg of suboxone that im perscribed on saturday would I be able to feel hydos on monday if I didnt take suboxone of sunday? 2. If I were to take tramadol(which I just ordered online) on the same day as suboxone would I feel the effects?
If you are taking suboxne to get off dope why the fuck would you risk that on some weak perc's. Tramadol affects the same receptors as opiates, so if you did feel them, it would be slight. You might try benzo's to calm you down (valium, xanax), and ativan/flexeril if you need muscle relaxation.
First off I was a Hydrocodone addict. I have never touched skag or anythnig in that ball park, because I have a very addictive personality, I am addicted to exersize(I run marathons and do ironmans) there are few drugs ive touched that I havent developed a habbitr form, Ihave OCD, anxiety and the like. Heroin would be the death of me, so I know my boundaries.
Oh wow thank you so much RunlikehelL! But how did you know that I quit? I dont believe I even recognize you, pardon my ignorance if I have forgotten conversing with you please. But yea I cleaned up well, and now I have probation constantly testing me to make sure I absolutley stay that was Opiates most definitley were dragging me down to complete ruin, but thankfully I've come to my senses and stepped up as a real father. I used to be an observer my favorite posters were 2cesarewild and you, but recently I have decided to post.
Oh ok I got ya  So I guess you've seen all of us grow up then? Like a big happy family lol 2ces still comes around sometimes but yea we all seem to have changed so much -
I have a friend that is on Suboxone, he told me that he would have to stop taking it for about a week, I think, if he wanted to do any kind of opiate. He can take all the xanax he wants, but no opiates while taking suboxon, since it blocks it I guess.
You took suboxone to get off Hydrocodone? I recently quit dope by weaning off with Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) & Hydrocodone (Vicoden/Lortab), then just Vicoden. I didn't even know you could get suboxone for hydrocodone. Damn.
You could potentially get methadone/subutex for any opiate, including presumably Codeine. I only take 8mgs a day which is about half of what most skagheads take. A hydocodone habit and junk habit are very similar, its just society seems to glorify hydrocodone habits more, such as House MD. It is hard to quit any opiate, and Suboxone is wya more effective than Methadone. Althuogh Iboga treatment is the most effective, the FDA hates psychadelics, and this treatment will never be used in the USA.
